Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) could soon get some completely devastating news. As DOOL viewers know, Steve let Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) go after learning that she was happy in her relationship with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth). Steve thought that Kayla would be better off with Justin, even though he is still deeply in love with Kayla. Steve just hasn’t been able to come to terms with the fact that he sought to harm Kayla when he was microchipped.
Well, it’s going to get harder for Steve very soon. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Justin will decide to pop the question to Kayla. After visiting Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) gravesite and “talking” with her about the prospect of moving on, it looks like Justin will be ready to make things official with Kayla and make her his wife.
Of course, the timing of all this is very weird, given that Steve has just come back after being de-microchipped. But it looks like Justin is going to want to solidify his relationship with Kayla sooner rather than later, so she’s going to have to decide pretty quickly whether she’s really done with Steve after all.
Sure, Kayla has said that she and Steve are through, but her actions say otherwise, especially in how jealous she’s been that Steve has gone to stay with Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso).
Assuming that Kayla says yes to Justin and that she agrees to be his wife, Steve’s going to have a difficult time with it. According to DOOL spoilers, Steve will soon prepare to ask Kayla to get back together with him.
It looks like Steve will realize that he’s made a terrible mistake, and that he doesn’t want to let his “sweetness” go after all. Steve will be all ready to woo back Kayla and tell her that he still loves her and wants her back in his life.
And of course, it’s probably the case that Kayla will already be engaged to Justin just as Steve is ready to make his big overture to her. And then what will Steve do?
Well, he’ll probably go and get support from his good friend Hope, but is there the chance that more than friendship could develop between Hope and Steve, especially once Kayla is engaged to Justin?
We could see Steve turn to Hope in his sadness over Kayla, with either a hot hookup ensuing, and/or the beginnings of a real relationship between the two friends.
Something tells us that more will develop between Steve and Hope going forward, and it could even occur just as Kayla realizes that her engagement to Justin is a big mistake. That would certainly be a soapy circumstance!
We’ll see what happens here, but it sure seems like Hope and Steve are destined to get together, especially since they’ve been commiserating over their similar microchipping ordeals.
