Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) will grow increasingly suspicious of what Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) might be hiding. During the week of November 9-13, Lani will catch Eli having an intense conversation with Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
It’ll seem quite serious, but Eli will try to brush off Lani’s concerns – and Abe should back him up.
Of course, Eli and Abe will do their best to keep Lani in the dark on everything that went down with Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Lani doesn’t realize Eli went along with Melinda’s plan to secretly record Kristen’s confession. Eli then used that confession tape to pressure Kristen into entering a guilty plea, which kept Eli’s hands clean.
The guilt is already eating away at Eli, though he’d make the same choice if he had it to do over. Eli had to protect Lani from prison and make sure she had a chance to raise those babies with him.
It’s tough to blame Eli for putting his own family first. Even so, it’ll become tougher and tougher to keep such a massive secret from Lani – particularly after her suspicions are on the rise.
Sooner or later, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani will learn the truth. There’s no doubt that it’d be better for Eli to come clean than for Lani to find out another way. It’d at least feel like less of a betrayal if Eli made the decision to confess instead of just getting caught.
Regardless, Lani will still be furious over Eli making a unilateral decision and going behind her back like this.
Lani really thought there was a chance Kristen could get off the hook or get a lighter sentence. Kristen might’ve without Eli pushing her to change her plea and accept the consequences to spare Lani.
Although Eli will try to explain after this bomb drops, you can bet Lani will get all worked up. Lani’s stress and anger could end up sending her into early labor! Major DOOL confrontations tend to do that on soaps – and this confrontation is sure to be a real doozy.
Days spoilers say Lani will eventually go off on Eli in a big way, so that could lead to a hospital crisis and the premature births of the twins. On the bright side, perhaps bonding in concern for their babies could help Lani and Eli move past all their Kristen issues.
There’s hope for this family’s future if Eli and Lani can stick together and focus on their love! As other Days news pops up, we’ll pass along updates.
