Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) may wind up unlucky in love once again. DOOL fans know Lucas always seems to fall hard and then lose his chance at romance. It’s happened more times than any of us can count. Now that Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) is back in Lucas’ orbit, Days may be setting Lucas up for more heartbreak.
Bonnie feels like she’s meant to be a supercouple with Lucas, which is obviously a real stretch! Still, a romance is possible with this new-and-improved Bonnie. It’s clear that Bonnie truly wants to make things up to Lucas. Bonnie’s making an effort, even if she’s botching it a bit here and there.
Lucas can tolerate being in the same room with Bonnie, which is progress. Nobody’s saying this love story would happen overnight. However, Bonnie and Lucas are definitely a ton of fun in scenes together. Their banter is enjoyable and could build into something more as this story moves along.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Bonnie will keep heading down this redemptive path. As Lucas starts to see a softer, more vulnerable side of Bonnie, he may be more willing to open his heart.
DOOL has already set Bonnie up as a confidant with this Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) adoption situation. Bonnie’s advice wasn’t very helpful, but at least Lucas has someone to lean on and talk to.
Lucas may end up genuinely falling in love with Bonnie, but could a major twist shatter his heart? There’s no guarantee this is actually Bonnie Lockhart. Bonnie could easily be Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) back from the “dead” with Bonnie’s memories implanted.
If that sounds crazy, then you haven’t been watching Days long enough! It’s perfectly logical in Salem. There have been signs that Bonnie may be Adrienne – like slight differences in her personality and her new look.
Bonnie claims that was about creating a more presentable image for her book tour, but it seems more like an Adrienne clue.
Adrienne and Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) may reunite in the end – especially since Bonnie felt like supercouples always come back around. That’d be great news for Justin, who’d face the flip side of the ordeal he just went through.
Justin had to let Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) go because her heart belonged to her true love, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
Perhaps Justin will find himself in Steve’s position if Adrienne is revealed as Bonnie. Adrienne would certainly dump Lucas to reunite with her beloved husband, so Days could be setting up yet another romantic failure for poor Lucas.
