Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Monday, August 31, tease that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will be brimming with confidence. He’ll feel certain he’s going to be the one to lead Titan Industries into the future. Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will be happy for Xander, but she’ll also express some doubts.
When it comes to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), it’s wise to keep your guard up!
Even so, Xander will think he’s going to have it all – the CEO seat and a great personal life with Sarah, too. Unfortunately, Xander will get some bad news soon enough.
Days spoilers say Victor will offer updates on Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) demand for the throne. It’s the only way Philip will stick around and patch things up with Victor, so Xander will seethe once the rug’s pulled out from under him.
Meanwhile, Philip will meet up with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) in the town square. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Philip will enjoy gloating about his future CEO title.
Philip will feel confident that Victor’s going to make it official before long, so he’ll let Lucas and Kate know he intends to plant roots in Salem again if all goes well.
Back with Xander, he’ll push Victor to stop dangling the Titan throne in front him. Xander will think Victor needs to make a firm choice. That’s when Philip will waltz in and agree.
Victor will be put on the spot, but he won’t be ready to announce his decision just yet. Instead, Victor will allow Xander and Philip to pitch what each of them has to offer. This means a Titan CEO war is brewing!
Over with Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton (Freddie Smith), they’ll continue to say their goodbyes. Sonny will get a little moment with Victor, but he’ll also have to talk to Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) about this tough move.
As for Will, he’ll speak with a somber Lucas and try to convince him that Phoenix isn’t all that far.
Justin will end up leaning on Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) for support as he deals with Sonny leaving town. That should bring some comical moments since Bonnie’s…well, Bonnie! Even so, Bonnie will probably have some surprisingly helpful words of wisdom to pass along.
Will and Sonny won’t make their final farewell until Tuesday, so just keep that in mind if you’re wondering when their last scenes will be.
In the meantime, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will stay by John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) side at the hospital – and she’ll be joined by a surprise visitor before Monday’s DOOL episode wraps up.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) will return to Salem, so he’ll finally be there for John and the rest of his loved ones. As for Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), look for her to make a Days comeback later in the week.
