Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Monday, June 8, teases that Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will enjoy a warm reunion with Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). After some hugs and catching up, they’ll get down to the business of figuring out what’s best for Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan).
Since Marlena thinks Claire’s made great strides in her recovery, she’s ready to give Bayview the green light. Shawn and Belle will support the idea and decide to tell Claire right away. They’ll be thrilled about the idea of Claire coming home where she belongs.
Meanwhile, Claire will want to keep her hidden agenda under wraps. That presumably means Claire’s plan to win Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) over and become a bridesmaid or even the maid of honor. Claire’s hopeful about repairing the damage with Ciara, but she can’t let anyone know she’s so infatuated with this wedding.
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) is hiding something as well, so Claire will propose they pinky-swear and keep each other’s secrets. Of course, DOOL fans know Gwen is Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Beemer) ex-girlfriend, so her secret may tie in with him.
Gwen may not want Jake to know she’s at Bayview, but that secret could prove hard to keep since Jake’s on a mission to find her.
Ciara and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) have vowed to join the search, but a mental institution may not their first thought as a location! Before Ben and Ciara can make any real progress on the Gwen hunt, they’ll run into Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso).
After getting updates from Shawn, Hope will pass the news of Claire’s release along to Ciara and Ben.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ciara will feel panic rising in her chest. She’ll worry that Claire hasn’t truly been rehabilitated, but Hope won’t want her daughter to fret too much.
Marlena’s an outstanding mental health professional, so Hope may think they need to trust her judgment. If Marlena believes Claire is better, then it’s probably true.
For the record, Claire does seem to be more like her old self. She’s still a mischievous schemer, but that’s different than being a homicidal maniac. Sadly, Days spoilers say Claire’s going to deal with some drama down the line.
There’ll be some incidents that look pretty bad for Claire, but it doesn’t look like she’ll actually be guilty of the accusations.
In the meantime, Claire will receive word that her release is moving forward. She’ll greet her parents and learn they want her to return to Hong Kong with them. That’ll leave Claire to talk Shawn and Belle out of that plan.
Claire will insist that she should be left in Marlena’s care, which will allow her to stick around Salem and prove she’s changed. Most of all, Claire will want to make peace with Ciara.
Belle and Shawn will opt to stay in town for a while since Claire could use some extra support right about now. They’ll want to give Claire the best chance of rebuilding her life.
Over with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith), they’ll grow concerned about missing Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus). Perhaps Gabi won’t pick up Arianna Horton (Sydney Brower) or something along those lines.
Gabi wouldn’t just bail on her daughter without a good reason, so that could tip Sonny and Will off to trouble.
At Jake’s garage, he’ll be put on the spot as Sonny and Will push him to reveal what’s going on. Jake’s uneasy demeanor will let Will and Sonny know they’re on the right track.
Even so, Jake won’t want to spill more than necessary. Gabi’s life is at stake, so he needs to keep as much under wraps as he can.
The same goes for Ben, who’ll also get interrogated by Will and Sonny. Back with Ciara, she’ll talk to Shawn about Claire’s impending release and continue to worry about what the future holds.
