Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) is clearly one sick woman! As Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) pointed out, Eve’s just not the woman she used to be. Chloe suggested that Eve has always had a dark side, but that darkness eventually consumed her.
Eve became bitter until Vincent (Michael Teh) gave her a sense of purpose again – that purpose being to finally get her revenge on Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). DOOL fans know Eve wants Ben to kill Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) so he can feel the same pain she’s felt for years.
Eve’s still deeply distraught over the loss of her daughter, Paige Larson (True O’Brien), so she’s determined to see Ben suffer just as much. Ben may have been rescued, but Eve’s not done! Her plot for vengeance will continue during the week of August 10-14.
Of course, we have to wonder if there’s anything that could snap Eve out of this. After all, Days of Our Lives can’t really top that bizarre brainwashing setup. There’d be no point in bringing Eve back for another twisted revenge plan down the road. It’d be better for Eve to get everything out of her system and then find closure.
When soap characters hit rock bottom following a difficult loss, it’s common for the person they’ve lost to appear to them. In fact, Eve had visions of Paige shortly after she died. Days viewers may recall how Eve imagined all the milestones Paige would’ve had.
Later, Paige appeared by her own casket and urged Eve not to be angry for the rest of her life. Paige also pushed Eve to forgive herself since it was the only way she’d able to move on. Sadly, none of that sank in – and Eve hasn’t moved on at all.
Whether Eve’s forgiven herself or not, Eve certainly hasn’t forgiven Ben. All Eve can think about is making Ben pay. Something major will have to happen if there’s going to be a shift in Eve’s way of thinking.
True O’Brien exited Days back in 2015, but she reprised the role in a 2017 Halloween fantasy episode. Could O’Brien return once again – this time in one last vision to her mother? Paige might be the only one who could get through to Eve at this point.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest Paige will remain dead, but that certainly doesn’t rule out a comeback. Paige might return in spirit form and do her best to help Eve let go. Losing a child is unbearable anyway, but it’s been particularly hard for Eve since she wasn’t on great terms with Paige when she died.
That’s why Paige initially pushed Eve to forgive herself – and perhaps that’s still something Eve needs to do now. Part of Eve’s anger toward Ben may involve hating herself for not being a better mom. Since Eve’s obviously still struggling, Paige’s ghost really needs to pop up and try to help.
While Ben was restrained, Eve raged over how she’d never hear Paige say “I love you” again, but maybe there’s still a chance she will! All it would take is another ghostly return to make that happen. Will Paige appear to Eve at the end of this revenge arc? Will Paige be the one who finally helps her mom move on?
