It turns out Philip is up to his eyeballs in gambling debts, so that led to this dangerous alliance. Since Philip borrowed from the Vitali family and can’t pay it back on his own, he was forced into this tight spot. The problem is Philip still isn’t keeping his end of the bargain.

Since Xander and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) are on the verge of busting Philip, this may indeed end with Ava out for blood. How will Sarah feel if she sets an attempt on Philip’s life in motion? DOOL fans know there’s bound to be major danger here.
Sarah may ultimately find herself in the position to save Philip at the hospital – at least if Ava and the deadly Vitali family strike back against Philip. And why wouldn’t they? These are NOT the kind of people who just let you off with a lecture.
Days spoilers say Philip will be dealt with if he can’t pay up or launder money as an alternative. Once Philip is out of options, he may be at risk of death by the mob!
Of course, Philip would undoubtedly survive and fight his way back in the hospital, but it’s clear that Ava and the fam pose a huge threat.
