Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) has been through a lot in the past year. She showed up in Salem pregnant and troubled, not knowing if she wanted to keep her baby, and later she remembered the violent way in which Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) was conceived.
To make matters worse for Allie, the person who she believes assaulted her is completely denying the attack, and it’s been a really difficult time for her.
Well, at this point, Allie’s family and her loved ones around Salem know about the rape and that Henry was a product of the rape. But there’s still one critical person who doesn’t know what Allie’s gone through, and that’s her mom Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney).
As Days of Our Lives viewers know, Sami is now off in Europe caring for EJ DiMera (James Scott), where she went after making sure that Henry was safely in Allie’s and Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) care.
Sami and Allie have had a troubled history, and Sami seemed quick to judge when she first found out that Allie was pregnant. Sami just couldn’t understand how Allie could have been so careless as to become pregnant, and Sami pretty much chalked the pregnancy up to Allie’s hard-partying ways.
But of course, Sami wasn’t aware of what Allie actually went through.
According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Allie will tell Sami about the assualt, and it will likely be an emotional and difficult conversation, much like Allie’s first interaction with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) after he found out about the situation.
The new DOOL extended promo shows a snippet of Sami and Allie’s conversation, which will occur over a video call, and it looks like the conversation will end up being supportive and healing for both mother and daughter.
Of course, Allie will probably go into the call worrying about what her mother will say, and whether she’ll rant and rave about Allie being to blame for being intoxicated on the evening of the assault.
Allie carries around a lot of guilt about that, but it looks like Sami will reassure her daughter that none of this was her fault, and that the fault lies with the man who attacked her and no one else.
In the promo, Sami and Allie are shown on the video call, as Sami softly tells Allie, “There’s nothing I won’t do for you.” Allie looks relieved and happy at her mother’s words, and it could be a real turning point in their relationship.
And when Sami returns to Salem in the months to come, Allie may actually look forward to her mother’s arrival, which will be a big change in the mother/daughter dynamic.
At any rate, it looks like viewers can expect to see a real breakthrough for Sami and Allie, and some healing moments for sure. Are you looking forward to seeing Sami and Allie come together and bond?
