Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will continue to open her heart to Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer). Days viewers know Sarah’s walls are finally coming down – and Xander’s pleased by the progress he’s making. In fact, Xander was reluctant to leave Sarah at the hospital since things had been going so well between them.
However, Xander ultimately agreed as long as Sarah was willing to let him take her out to dinner. Sarah and Xander’s romance is getting back on track, so we have to consider where this story’s headed next.
During the week of July 27-31, a shouting match with Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) will send Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) into labor. That should give Sarah a hospital crisis to contend with.
Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will be back in town by then, but Sarah may be the one to deliver the baby. It makes sense considering Xander actually hoped to score this kid for Sarah at one point.
Sarah flipped out on Xander for acting like she could just replace Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton. It was another version of the baby swap drama in Sarah’s eyes, but they’ve thankfully moved past all that.
Nevertheless, it looks like Sarah will do some bonding with Allie’s little one in the maternity ward. Of course, we should also point out that DOOL’s adoption storyline is about to heat up.
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will cave to Sami’s pressure and turn down Allie’s offer. Will Horton (Chandler Massey) knows what Sami’s up to, but he’ll continue to keep quiet.
All that talk about accepting whatever Allie decides should eventually ring hollow! Allie will find out about Sami’s manipulation, which should lead to her finding out Will knew and stayed silent.
Will Allie still be willing to give Will and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) her baby after that? Allie might push Rafe to go against Sami and adopt the kid anyway, but he may decide this is just too messy.
Plus, we know Rafe, Will and Sonny are all leaving Days of Our Lives soon, so it’s doubtful any of them will get this baby. Will Sarah reconsider the idea of adopting Allie’s child? It’s interesting that Xander came to Allie’s rescue after the explosion – and Sarah should help Allie bring her baby into the world.
There’s also that upcoming bonding moment in the maternity ward, so Sarah might start to rethink a few things. Could Sarah long for what might’ve been and consider adopting Allie’s baby after all? That might be an option since Allie’s other adoption possibilities are about to dwindle.
Unfortunately, Sarah could be setting herself up for more disappointment if she gets her hopes up. Allie could easily end up keeping this baby, but at least Sarah might realize how much she still wants to be a mother. This could even lead to Sarah getting pregnant by Xander down the road.
