Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that it’s time to consider another character who could easily get back in the mix. Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) is all grown up and pregnant now, so she’s dealing with some very adult drama. DOOL fans know Allie has a twin brother, Johnny DiMera, so he’s the same age as Allie and could come back to Salem anytime Days sees fit.
Would you like to see a rapidly aged Johnny return to Salem, too? The role was last played by Aaron and Griffin Kunitz, but a recast would obviously be required to make Johnny the same age as Allie. This could be a great opportunity to put another DiMera on canvas and keep the legacy going strong.
Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) had twins by two different fathers in a shocking twist. Allie belongs to Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo), but Johnny’s dad is EJ DiMera (last portrayed by James Scott).
Although it seems Sami will come alone during her next trip home, this visit could pave the way for Johnny and even EJ to visit in the future.
What’s Johnny up to lately anyway? It might be interesting if DiMera Enterprises had some sort of intern or young executive program – kind of like the training Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) received at Titan Industries.
It’d be a good idea to set Johnny up as someone who wants to learn all about the family business and lead DiMera into the future one day.
That’s something Johnny could do in an overseas office until the time’s right for him to transfer to Salem and take over some crucial position. It’s easy to imagine Johnny being slick and savvy like his dad.
Since Allie’s a mini Sami in a way, Johnny could be a mini EJ! It’d be fun to have a young and hungry DiMera – perhaps one who’s willing to play dirty for the sake of the company if need be.
This could even create some good opportunities for clashing with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) or even Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) down the road. Since Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) is likely Stefan, that’s important to keep in mind.
Of course, the best part is EJ might eventually come back to put his son on the right path or even team up with him for Salem corporate domination!
There’s certainly a place for Johnny DiMera on canvas whenever DOOL decides to go for it. We’ll pass along updates as other Days news rolls in. Would you like to see Johnny join Allie in Salem?
