Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that having Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) back on canvas has stirred up some excitement.
It’s been nice to see these exes interacting again, but many viewers feel like Lucas and Sami’s chemistry is being wasted! Dattilo and Sweeney work well together, so some DOOL watchers are pushing for changes.
Should Sami and EJ DiMera’s (last played by James Scott) break up? James Scott has no interest in reprising the role, so it’s not like the true “EJami” magic could ever be recaptured.
Meanwhile, “Lumi” magic is right there for the taking. On Twitter, Lucas and Sami supporters are definitely hoping Sami moves on with her former flame someday.
“Let all the #Lumi fans and Sami fans that want something tangible, not just an invisible sick man we’ll never see again, represent,” one Days of Our Lives viewer insisted. “My heart belongs to #LUMI,” said another. One more Sami and Lucas fan tweeted, “I wish they’d put these two back together already.”
Of course, it’d be cruel for Sami to dump EJ while he’s fighting to recover, but Sami’s no stranger to a hot hookup! It wouldn’t be all that surprising for Lucas and Sami to fall into bed together at some point.
Regardless, it’s frustrating for Sami to be tied down with EJ when we’ve never even seen his face. EJ doesn’t really exist at this point, so it’d be better to have Sami free for other possibilities.
Maybe EJ will recover down the road and tell Sami he’s just not the man she fell in love with. That’d leave the door open for EJ to return to Salem alone, which would be great if the show ever does decide to recast. As for Sami, she could get back together with Lucas and pop in for more “Lumi” stints.
Days has been delivering some wonderful family scenes lately, so it’s really highlighting Sami and Lucas’ chem. Even when Lucas and Sami are fighting, they’re as good as gold! Would you like to see a “Lumi” reunion on DOOL?
