Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that one NBC soap star is speaking out about her exit from the show. As many DOOL fans have heard by now, Stacy Haiduk will leave the role of Kristen DiMera during the week of May 11-15 – but it won’t be her final bow! Kristen will be back based on a leaked photo from set and other hints about the months ahead.
On Instagram, Haiduk spoke out about her exit and alluded to that comeback. She couldn’t divulge much since Days likes to preserve surprise whenever they can. Nevertheless, Haiduk did suggest you can’t keep a DiMera down! This is Kristen we’re talking about. Kristen has to surface eventually – just like she always does.
Haiduk said, “So yesterday you all read that I was leaving Day’s!!! But Let’s not write Kristen Dimera off quite yet! Is anyone really gone in Salem. After all I am the Phoenix! This heartfelt journey of Kristen, Brady and baby Rachel has been so amazing! These two characters have worked so hard this past year to be together!”
All signs point to Kristen returning this summer, so maybe that hard work will pay off sooner or later. Many Days of Our Lives viewers are feeling a bit cheated right now! At the end of a long and winding baby switch story, we all deserve to see the robbed parents get their baby back and experience a little happiness.
That can’t happen if Kristen disappears with Rachel DiMera Black, which is exactly how this is going to play out. However, Haiduk herself offered hope for the future. We have reason to believe Kristen will return in the story as soon as July. That presents another opportunity to continue that heartfelt “Bristen” journey Haiduk mentioned.
Of course, there’s a chance Haiduk’s departure will serve as a shift back to how things used to be with this character. Kristen was previously a character who popped up for stints here and there rather than someone who was in Salem all the time.
Days of Our Lives may be going back to more sporadic Kristen appearances. It’d be easy for Brady to meet up with Kristen and Rachel on the downlow for visits or something along those lines. We’ll just have to see how it all plays out moving forward.
