Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) have really been down in the dumps lately. Each of them feels responsible for the things that they did when they were acting under the influence of the microchips that turned them into Stefano DiMera (Stephen Nichols) and Princess Gina Von Amberg (Kristian Alfonso). And even though their loved ones don’t blame Steve and Hope for the things they did, that doesn’t make it any easier on them.
Well, in the coming days it looks like Hope and Steve will continue to bond, as they try to come to terms with the things their alter-egos did. The two friends will commiserate together, and Steve will move in with Hope for the time being.
DOOL spoilers say they’ll even have some fun together destroying the portrait of “Stevano” that Princess Gina painted. It will probably be cathartic for both Steve and Hope.
Still, though, it seems that Steve and Hope will have lingering feelings of guilt and remorse for the way that they treated their good friends. DOOL viewers will remember that as Stefano and Princess Gina, Steve and Hope plotted to break up John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Ultimately, that plot led Steve to nearly kill John, Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth), and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
And of course, Hope nearly managed to kill Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) and Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi). The point is that Steve and Hope have a lot to feel bad about, but it seems that soon, they’ll get the chance to be real heroes for their friends. It will all start when John finds himself in some real trouble.
As DOOL viewers will recall, Orpheus (George DelHoyo) is back in John and Marlena’s orbit, and it seems that he’ll soon kidnap not only his grandson David Ridgeway (Caleb and Kyler Ends) but John as well.
John’s going to be in a real predicament, and DOOL spoilers say that Marlena will soon enlist the help of her friends Steve and Hope to rescue him.
Exactly how everything goes down from there remains to be seen, but it seems that Hope and Steve will play a pivotal role in how John gets rescued from Orpheus’ clutches.
That’s great news for John, and it will probably make Hope and Steve feel a lot better about themselves in the end. At least Hope and Steve will have done something to help their friends, rather than hurt them.
In fact, the big rescue might be just what Hope and Steve need in order to start to bring themselves out of their funk and reclaim their lives again.
