Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) may soon have a major mystery on their hands.
As viewers are aware, Steve has been steadfast this whole time that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) didn’t rape Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), but those DNA test results have made it impossible for him to defend Tripp to anyone, especially to Kayla, who personally oversaw the tests.
Well, in the coming days, Steve will take the opportunity to quiz Allie about her recollections about the night that she was attacked.
Days of Our Lives Spoilers say Steve will be gentle and come from the perspective that Allie was actually attacked, but perhaps by someone other than Tripp in the moments after Tripp left Allie’s flat that night in London.
Steve will probe for information, and soon he’ll generate a theory.
Steve will later share that theory with Kayla, and while the specifics of the theory remain to be seen, it’s likely that Steve will speculate that someone closely related to Tripp must have perpetrated this horrible crime – perhaps someone related to Tripp on his mother’s side.
Kayla will probably insist that it would have to be someone with very similar genetic makeup to Tripp, and perhaps at that point a lightbulb will go off.
It might dawn on Steve and Kayla that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) could have some well-hidden secrets, including having other children besides Tripp.
Of course, from Steve and Kayla’s vantage point, they wouldn’t know whether a second son of Ava’s would be Steve’s or someone else’s son, but there is something pretty clever that they could do to try to clear Tripp’s name.
Think about it – if Ava had a second son by a man other than Steve, and that son raped Allie and fathered Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox), then Tripp’s DNA would match Henry’s DNA.
But that would mean that Steve wouldn’t share any DNA with Henry. All Steve and Kayla would need to do is to run a DNA test comparing Henry and Steve’s DNA, and if there’s no match, then Tripp couldn’t be Henry’s father!
But of course, there’s another possibility here, too, and that’s that Ava’s second son is also Steve’s son. In that case, Steve and Henry’s DNA would be a match.
It’s all pretty complicated, but at least if Steve and Kayla ran the DNA comparing Steve and Henry and found no match, they’d know that Ava had a second son with someone other than Steve…and that this second son would almost certainly be Allie’s rapist.
We’ll see if Steve and Kayla get this far with things, but we suspect that Steve’s theory that he runs by Kayla will probably be about another of Ava’s sons existing.
Of course, it’s looking almost certain that Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) is Ava’s other son and the person who assaulted Allie. But it will probably take a while for Steve and Kayla to realize that the rapist is Charlie, that he’s Ava’s son, and that he’s right there in Salem!
But at any rate, it seems that Steve and Kayla might have some big news for Allie in the coming days – that her rapist was someone other than Tripp.
That’s going to really take Allie by surprise, and it will surely leave her unsettled, especially since it would mean that her rapist is still out there somewhere – and as Days of Our Lives viewers know, he’s close by!
