Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is having a terrible time these days. As viewers are aware, Tripp has been accused by Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) of rape, and now the DNA test results comparing Tripp’s and Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) DNA have come back positive.
Tripp and Henry share a sufficient amount of DNA to conclude that Tripp must be Henry’s father. But of course, Tripp is denying that he ever touched Allie, and right now the only person who believes him is his dad Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols).
To everyone else, the DNA test results tell the story, and now Tripp is in hot water since Allie has gone to Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) about the situation. It certainly looks like Allie will probably be pressing charges against Tripp soon.
Well, DOOL buzz is that there could be a reasonable explanation for why Tripp’s DNA appeared to be a match for Henry’s. If Allie was assaulted by someone else who was closely related to Tripp, then that could explain why the DNA results appeared to “show” that Tripp was Henry’s dad.
It’s been speculated that Tripp could have a long-lost brother, and that this brother could be Charlie Gale (Mike C. Manning).
Charlie and Tripp have already had one encounter, and it was a contentious one. Tripp wanted to talk with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), and Charlie stood interference when Claire didn’t want to talk with Tripp.
Charlie got right up in Tripp’s face, and it was a tense scene. Charlie was very protective of Claire, but he didn’t immediately exhibit any violent tendencies.
Of course, if Charlie and Tripp are brothers, then that means that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) is the mother of both of them. And given that Ava is coming back on canvas during the week of November 9-13, the timing would certainly be right for Ava to be mom to them both.
But if Charlie and Tripp and brothers, then there’s the distinct possibility that they aren’t just brothers, but that they’re fraternal twins. And if that’s the case, then it would mean that Steve is not only Tripp’s father, but he’s Charlie’s dad, too.
Steve could be on the verge of learning not only that he has a second son in Charlie, but that Charlie’s also a rapist who did the unthinkable to Allie and then let Tripp take the fall for it.
That would be a huge blow for Steve, and it would have been a big secret for Ava to have carried around all these years. It would make for an interesting back story, though, on Charlie and where he’s been all these years!
It will be interesting to see where this storyline goes, and whether Steve ends up getting another son out of the deal.
