Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 15, reveal that Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) sadly visited Ciara Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) gravesite. Ben heard a noise and thought it might be Ciara, but it turned out to be Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), who had come to visit Ciara’s grave as well.
Ben and Shawn lamented about missing Ciara and about how they’ve each had moments where they’ve mistaken someone for Ciara.
After some talk about Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and how she went looking for Ciara, Ben asked if Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) had tracked Hope down. Shawn said yes, and that that Hope and Rafe had broken up.
Ben noted that he missed Ciara terribly, and that he always thought that he’d be alone until Ciara came along…and now he was alone again.
At the Salem PD, Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) stopped by to see Rafe and quickly learned that Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) was off the hook for holding Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) at gunpoint.
Rafe and Nicole got caught up, and Rafe learned that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was in the Congo. Nicole rehashed how Eric had wanted to go there, and why she let him go. Rafe and Nicole then hugged and agreed to be there for each other as friends.
At the Brady house, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) got the scoop about Allie’s civil lawsuit against Tripp from Allie and Belle Black (Martha Madison). Belle stepped out, and Allie told Claire about holding Tripp at gunpoint and how Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) had stopped her.
Claire worried that the incident could come back to haunt Allie in the civil trial. Later, Claire told Allie all about Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) being her boyfriend. “He’s the best guy – you’ll like him,” Claire gushed.
At Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) place, Steve was thrilled to have his two boys Tripp and Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) there.
Tripp thought maybe he should go, but Kayla said this was a family celebration, and she and Tripp even held hands during the saying of grace. After dinner, Steve toasted to Kayla and wondered what Joey would do now that he was free.
Joey said that he might get a job and make some money while he was thinking about what was next. Soon, Tripp took off to go to Ava’s, and Steve decided to walk Tripp over there. Joey helped Kayla clean up after dinner and thanked his mom for including Tripp in the family dinner.
At Ava’s apartment, Ava asked Charlie how he got to town so fast. Charlie said that he moved to Salem…for her. Charlie explained that he got a job at Titan to keep an eye on Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) for her.
Ava was stunned, and Charlie said that he had useful information to give her. But Ava wanted to talk about something else. “I just care about Tripp – that’s why I called you here,” Ava said angrily.
Ava explained that Tripp was accused of rape. Charlie acted innocent, saying that he heard about that from Claire and that it would all blow over. Ava fumed that Tripp was innocent, and Ava asked Charlie if he did it.
“You were in London at the time keeping an eye on Tripp for me,” Ava said. Charlie balked, but Ava said that the DNA test proved it.
Charlie stopped in his tracks, and he asked about the DNA test. “The DNA test comparing Allie’s baby to Tripp,” Ava said. Charlie looked ill as he absorbed the news about the baby.
Ava explained that Tripp’s DNA matched the baby’s DNA, but that Tripp had never slept with Allie. “Any theories on how that could happen?” Ava demanded.
Charlie said that Tripp must have done what Allie was accusing him of. “How does Tripp explain the DNA?” Charlie asked. “He can’t, but I can,” Ava said. “You share DNA with Tripp because you and Tripp are brothers!”
