Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, December 22 Recap - Allie Makes Charlie Sick - Ava Struggles To Get Free

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 22, reveal that Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and Belle Black (Martha Madison) shopped in town square, finishing up their Christmas shopping on their way to John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) penthouse. Meanwhile, over at the penthouse, John sat crying as he watched a Christmas movie, with Marlena comforting him sweetly.

At Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) apartment, Nicole gave Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) an early Christmas present for Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) – a onesie with Santa Claus on it.

Nicole told Allie a secret – that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was coming home for Christmas. Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Nicole thought it would be Eric, but it turned out to be Will Horton (Chandler Massey), who came home as a surprise for his family.

Allie and Will happily visited as Nicole got ready for Eric’s arrival, briefly touching on Allie’s rape but not dwelling on it on the holiday. Soon, Allie and Will left for John and Marlena’s penthouse, leaving Henry with Nicole.

Later, there was another knock on the door, and Nicole opened the door happily, saying, “Merry Christmas, sweetheart!”

At Charlie Dale’s (Mike C. Manning) apartment, Charlie took a call from Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Claire wanted to make sure that Charlie was still coming to the family Christmas celebration, and Charlie said he might be a little late.

The camera then panned to show Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) tied up and gagged in Charlie’s apartment.

After Charlie hung up with Claire, he took off Ava’s gag and she screamed, but Charlie said that no one could hear her. “Sorry, this year, you’ll have a nice, quiet Christmas all alone,” Charlie told Ava.

Ava tried to talk to Charlie, saying that since Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) wasn’t being charged, there was no reason to turn Charlie in.

Charlie didn’t buy it, blasting his mom for only being concerned about Tripp. Charlie put the gag back on Ava and left her alone watching some TV movie. Ava struggled to try to get free.

Meanwhile, over at Marlena and John’s penthouse, Claire, Shawn, and Belle arrived. Brady Black (Eric Martolf) was there, too, and he gave Marlena a present from himself and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Brady teased his father about having a good Christmas Eve cry, and Belle told John that they’d see about getting the charges against him dropped after the holidays.

Just then, Shawn noted to Belle that all of their family was there, and then he fumbled in his pocked and pulled out their wedding rings. Shawn promptly got down on one knee and asked Belle to marry him…today.

Of course, Belle said yes, and the wedding was on. John and Marlena hugged and kissed happily, and Charlie arrived with flowers for Marlena and a present for Claire.

Soon, it was time for the wedding, and Marlena got started with some introductory words. Just then, Marlena’s phone rang, and it was Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) calling. Belle told Marlena not to answer, and she ranted for a moment about Sami.

After that little kerfuffle, the wedding went on, with Belle and Shawn each saying beautiful and touching vows to each other. Rings were exchanged, and Marlena pronounced Shawn and Belle husband and wife. Shortly after, Will and Allie arrived, and Allie moved across the room to say hello to Claire.

Charlie materialized, and he took one look at Allie and looked ill. Charlie was startled as Allie said that she felt like she knew him from somewhere.

Charlie then took Claire aside and said that he suddenly felt sick and needed to go home. Claire was disappointed, and John called everyone together for a family picture.

Charlie skedaddled, and Claire sensed that something was wrong. Allie came along and wondered where Charlie went, and Claire said that he was feeling sick and left.

Everyone enjoyed the rest of their visit, and John and Marlena talked briefly about Sami’s voicemail, which said that she wanted to say Merry Christmas to everyone.

John and Marlena talked about the hurdles they’d overcome, and they were both grateful to be sharing their joy with their family. Across the room, Shawn gave Belle some beautiful earrings for Christmas, and Allie told Claire that she felt like she already knew Charlie.

Finally, back at Charlie’s place, Ava finally broke free from her restraints, but as she flung the front door open, Charlie was standing there. “Going somewhere?” Charlie asked.
