Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, December 8 Recap - Rafe's News About Hope - Chad Accuses Abigail of Jake Affair

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, December 8, reveal that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) met for breakfast at the Brady Pub.

Jack was busy typing away on his laptop, and Justin ordered for him. Jack wanted anything to drink but a Bloody Mary after the scene over at Julie’s Place last night with Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) and Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans).

Jack openly wondered whether anything happened between Jen and that hunky guy that she was sitting with at Julie’s Place, and Justin said no.

Suddenly, Bonnie appeared and said that Justin would be wrong about that and that she and Jennifer had gone back to the two guys’ place. Jack was horrified, then Bonnie said she was just kidding. Jack left upset.

Bonnie then toyed with Justin, saying that she stayed the night with one of the hunky guys, and Justin didn’t like the sound of that. Bonnie grumped about how Justin never called her after promising to take her out for drinks.

Justin said that he’d been in Arizona with his family, and Bonnie softened a little, saying that she had just been messing with Justin. Ultimately, Justin agreed to take Bonnie out for dinner and drinks. Bonnie was thrilled.

Over at the Horton house, Jennifer nursed a hangover and lamented about drinking four Bloody Marys yesterday with Bonnie. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) came along and talked with Jennifer about how she tried to make Jack jealous.

Jennifer said that she still couldn’t get the idea of Jack and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) out of her head, and later she was feeling a bit better and went for a walk.

In Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) workshop, Jake and Kate woke up together. Kate wondered if Jake was thinking about Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus), and Jake said that his feelings were for Kate.

Soon, Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) knocked on the door and Kate hid. Chad assumed that Jake had slept in the bed with Gabi last night, but Jake lied and said it had been Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Chad didn’t really buy it.

After Chad left, Jake wondered why Kate cared so much about what Chad thought. Kate said that Chad was like a son to her, and that if Jake wanted to go public, then she’d just end things.

Jake didn’t want that, and he said that if Kate wanted to keep their relationship a secret, then he’d abide by that because she mattered to him.

In the park, Gwen was watching the children when she got a call from Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay). Gwen told Rolf that she was going to ruin Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) marriage to Chad and that she wouldn’t rest until everything Abigail has is hers.

Soon, Abigail approached and talked with Gwen about Gabi returning. Abigail expressed doubt that Gabi was the one who drugged her, which worried Gwen.

After a while, Jack approached, and Gwen quickly learned that he had forgiven Abigail. Gwen was peeved, and when Abigail, Jack, and the kids left, Gwen angrily vowed to herself to take Chad away from Abigail.

Gwen then threw the kids’ toys and backpacks around, and she took an orange plastic bat and started beating up the poinsettias that were sitting around the park. Just then, Jennifer walked up and saw Gwen’s little fit.

At the DiMera mansion, Chad gazed at the portrait of Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) and asked it what Jake was up to. Abigail entered the room, and Chad asked her point blank if she was having an affair with Jake.

At the Hernandez house, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) visited Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering), and the topic of Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) search for Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) came up immediately.

Rafe expressed sadness over Ciara’s death and Hope’s determination to cling to hope that Ciara was alive, but he said that he understood.

Rafe said that he had tracked down Hope, and that she wasn’t ready to come back to Salem or to get back together with him. Abe asked if Rafe was giving up on Hope, and Rafe said that he wasn’t, but he had to respect her choice to go off and look for Ciara.

Abe understood, and he wondered if Rafe would take his old job back as commissioner. Rafe accepted, then he learned about some of the recent goings-on in Salem.
