Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tuesday, May 26 Recap - Hope Saves The Day - Disarmed Justin Rages At Steve - WilSon Romance

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Tuesday, May 26, reveal that Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) caught up at the Kiriakis mansion. Will told Sonny that Orpheus (George DelHoyo) had been caught and was in custody after Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) helped capture him. Sonny then told Will that he got Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) to admit that he and Orpheus caused the accident last Mother’s Day.

Later, Sonny was thinking about Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans), and Sonny noted that while Orpheus’ capture was good news, the fact remained that his mom was still gone.

Will then told Sonny about Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) arrest and that she was caught with the same drug used on Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi). Will and Sonny lamented that they’d have to tell Ari Horton (Sydney Brower) about the arrest in the morning.

Will and Sonny headed upstairs, where they had a romantic evening together and made love. Will said that no matter what was going on in the world, he always felt safe with Sonny.

Sonny and Will commented on a photo of themselves with Adrienne that sat near the bed, and they hoped that everyone who had been hurt by Orpheus could find peace.

Meanwhile, at the police station, Steve and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) talked in the squad room. Steve thought it was odd that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was holding it together so well, and he wondered where all of Justin’s anger went.

Kayla worried that it might all come pouring out, and soon Steve noticed that Orpheus’ gun was missing from the evidence bag. Steve worried that Justin might have taken matters into his own hands.

In the interrogation room, Justin held the gun at Orpheus, saying that he was going to make him pay for taking Adrienne’s life. Justin raged at Orpheus, saying that he had gotten away with murder, terror, and strapping bombs to people.

In turn, Orpheus taunted Justin, then when Justin hesitated, Orpheus said that Justin didn’t have what it takes.

Orpheus compared Justin to Steve and badgered Justin about not measuring up to the man with more of a killer instinct. Justin was shaking by this point, and Orpheus said that he didn’t have the guts to pull the trigger.

Justin wailed that Adrienne was a beautiful woman and an amazing mother who was taken away, and suddenly Steve and Kayla burst into the room. “Justin, no!’ Kayla cried.

Kayla pled with Justin not to pull the trigger, while Orpheus mouthed off to Steve. Steve then stepped in and told Justin that he shouldn’t have to kill Orpheus; he had too much to lose.

Steve offered to kill Orpheus himself, and he taunted Orpheus a bit, saying that he had killed before and that he could do it again. Steve went on, telling Justin that he didn’t have anything to live for, like Justin did.

Finally, Justin put the gun on the table, and Steve picked it up and held it at Orpheus’ head. But then Steve took the gun and hit Orpheus over the head, knocking him unconscious.

Justin was furious, yelling, “Why didn’t you kill the bastard? Why did you ask for the gun if you weren’t going to shoot him?” Steve said it wasn’t right, and Justin wailed, with Kayla hugging and consoling him.

At the penthouse, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) worried about what Orpheus might have had planned for himself and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), while Marlena tried to reassure John that everything would be ok. Under the couch, a bomb counted down from 30 minutes.

John and Marlena were kissing happily when there was a knock on the door. It was Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), who promptly told Marlena and John about their engagement. Marlena and John were thrilled for them and there were hugs all around as the bomb continued ticking down.

At the warehouse, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was shot in the chest when the gun discharged amidst Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse) and Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) struggle. As it turns out, the bullet hit Rafe’s badge and he wasn’t harmed. Rafe recouped while Hope held Zoey at gunpoint.

Rafe went to find David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) in a back room, while Hope kept pointing the gun at Zoey. Zoey insisted that she didn’t mean to hurt Rafe, and she said that Orpheus has her son, and she had to obey what he said.

Zoey’s phone rang, and Hope allowed her to answer it. It was the lawyer who works for Orpheus. “Yes, I can get the money. Keep my son safe,” Zoey told the lawyer.

Zoey told Hope that Orpheus had been arrested and that she had to go pay the guys who had her son. Zoey appealed to Hope as a mother, and Hope let Zoey go. Rafe then returned with David, who was unharmed. Rafe told Hope that Orpheus told David that he had one last game to play with John. Hope and Rafe wondered what that meant.

Rafe thanked Hope for helping him find David, and Hope said that she was headed over to the penthouse to check on John and Marlena. Rafe told Hope that she saved his life, and that it was like old times. Rafe and Hope smiled at each other warmly, and they left the warehouse.

Back at the penthouse, Marlena and John caught up with Nicole and Eric about their engagement and about what had gone down with Orpheus. Eric learned that Orpheus had been responsible for his daughter’s death, and later the four of them toasted to Eric and Nicole’s engagement as the bomb kept ticking down.

Hope arrived and learned about Nicole and Eric’s engagement, then she noticed amidst the conversation that John seemed distracted. Hope and John stepped aside, and John said he was uneasy about Orpheus making some sort of final move. Hope said that David had told Rafe that Orpheus had one last game – his favorite game – to play with John.

Hope and John quickly deduced that Orpheus’ favorite game had to do with explosives, so they frantically started searching the penthouse. Marlena asked what they were doing just as Hope found the bomb, which was now counting down from 1 minute.

Hope raced out of the penthouse with the bomb and threw it in a dumpster, where it exploded and didn’t hurt anyone.

Everyone else raced outside and caught up with Hope, saying how brave she was and that she had saved them. Marlena was especially thankful and told Hope that she had risked her life to save them all.

Finally, Rafe and David returned home to the Hernandez house. Rafe asked David if he was glad to be home, and David said, “Yeah.” Rafe happily told David that this place was his home, and he hugged David.
