Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, December 31, teases that Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) will discover something horrifying. While listening in on Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) phone conversation, Chloe will realize Philip’s been keeping the lid on a dangerous secret.
That secret will be exposed in Thursday’s episode, so Chloe will freak over the risk to Philip’s life. Chloe will hear all about Philip’s money laundering plot and how he’s been forced to play dirty for the mob. Days spoilers say Chloe will fret over Philip being in over his head, so she’ll confront him and do her best to help.
At the Salem Inn, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will undress along with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). That lip lock they shared will turn into a sizzling encounter, so Gwen will be pleased with the result.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will end up crashing from all the alcohol. Once Chad’s passed out drunk in bed with Gwen, she’ll congratulate herself on a job well done.
Gwen will have a celebratory glass of Champagne and hope this betrayal will be enough to end Chad’s marriage to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller). While Gwen prepares to strike the “Chabby” death blow with this cheating shocker, Abigail will do some digging with Anna DiMera’s (Leann Hunley) help.
Anna and Abigail will be on the hunt for evidence in Gwen’s bedroom back at the DiMera mansion. It won’t be long until a book surfaces that contains plenty of old pictures and clippings of newspaper articles.
It’ll become apparent that Gwen’s been following Abigail and the Deveraux clan in the news for decades. That doesn’t line up with Gwen’s tale about fate being the reason they crossed paths.
Anna will bring up Gwen’s fixation on Abigail and her family. It won’t make much sense to Abigail and Anna, but they’ll put their heads together and try to figure out what they can.
However, Abigail may ultimately decide to seek answers straight from the source. She’ll want to confront her secretive so-called friend, but Gwen will have to wait.
Abigail will dash off searching for Chad, but she’ll have no idea what they’ve been up to at the Salem Inn! That’s a bombshell that’ll be saved for later.
Next, let’s talk about a big blowup that’ll play out in Thursday’s show. After Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) tells Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) that Abigail’s onto them, Kate will get upset over the secret spillage.
Kate may argue that they have to keep Abigail’s mouth shut, but Jake will contend that it’s no use. Abigail wants to tell Chad the truth and can’t be talked out of it. Naturally, Jake won’t think this is so bad. He likes the idea of going public with Kate, but he’ll soon start to read more into her hesitance.
Jake will feel like embarrassment is at the heart of Kate’s concerns. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jake will believe Kate’s ashamed of him, so he’ll call her out for it on Thursday. This will serve as Kate’s chance to explain herself and where she really stands.
Kate is probably just nervous about getting more serious with Jake and opening herself up to pain. The harder you fall, the more likely it becomes you’ll get hurt. Kate isn’t usually the kind of woman who gets embarrassed over her choices in men, so it’s tough to believe that’s an issue here.
Can Kate convince Jake she’s not ashamed? And can Jake convince Kate that he won’t break her heart? Kate and Jake may not get all their problems worked out in this episode, but they’ll indeed find a way forward soon. Days spoilers say Jake and Kate will make their relationship status official in the week ahead.
