Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Thursday, June 4, teases that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will be feeling blue, so he’ll try to curb his pain in some small way. That’ll be nearly impossible due to Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) engagement, but Steve will at least try to battle his heartache – and he’ll do it through some drinks at the pub.
Once Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) arrives, he’ll see that Steve’s having a rough time. Steve may not be willing to open up much at first, but Jack will guess exactly how Steve’s feeling. He’ll run down the list of what’s going through Steve’s mind, so Steve will admit Jack is spot-on.
The thought of watching Kayla marry another man will be hard for Steve to cope with. Jack might point out that it’s not too late to fight for Kayla, but Steve may be hesitant to derail their looming nuptials. He might think he’s better off accepting the situation and just drinking his problems away – or at least attempting to.
However, those drinks will end up giving Steve some liquid courage. Once Steve’s intoxicated, he’ll start thinking maybe he should make a grand gesture. Steve will be in a drunken, problematic state by the time the week wraps up, so he could be in the position to make poor choices.
Let’s hope Jack or John Black (Drake Hogestyn) can stop Steve from making a fool of himself!
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) will make a baby announcement. After Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) hear about this amazing news, they’ll be over the moon.
Between the baby and the wedding updates, Abe and Julie will be truly ecstatic in Thursday’s DOOL episode.
As for Lani, she’ll enjoy the celebration and most likely battle some nagging doubts about the pregnancy. Although Lani ultimately admitted she wanted this baby, that can’t erase her concerns.
Lani will need Eli to be supportive and patient as this pregnancy moves forward. Luckily, Eli’s one of the most supportive and patient guys in Salem! Eli should be an excellent husband and dad eventually.
In the meantime, Rafe will work to keep the dad title in David Ridgeway’s (Kyler Ends) life. It won’t be easy since Zoey Burge (Alyshia Ochse) is going after custody of her nephew, but Rafe will have Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) firmly in his corner. Hope has seen how much Rafe loves David and knows he’s the right person to be raising the little guy.
Days spoilers say Hope will speak up for Rafe as this custody battle gets nasty. Sadly, the outcome doesn’t look like it’s going to go in Rafe’s favor. Zoey will have to face a different battle when she spars with Orpheus (George DelHoyo) on Thursday, so that should be a fun showdown.
This will be George DelHoyo’s final airdate for now, but the door’s always open for Orpheus to make a devious return!
