Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we’ll see some happy couples in the coming weeks. DOOL viewers can expect a break from the doom and gloom, so that should be nice to see! We all love juicy Days drama, but it’s great when the show can throw in some bliss, too.
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will finally do what “Cin” fans have been eagerly waiting for him to do. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will pop the question, so Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will happily accept. Once Ciara and Ben are engaged, they can focus on the next step: planning their wedding.
Of course, Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) are inching toward this step as well. We can’t forget that Eric and Nicole were a solid couple during the offscreen time jump year. However, Nicole was keeping the paternity of Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) baby a secret, which ultimately led to an “Ericole” setback.
Then, there was Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s cancer crisis. The truth about the baby swap came out next, so it’s just been a steady flow of bad news lately! On the bright side, Eric and Nicole’s relationship is stronger than ever. Nicole will continue to stand by Eric as he heals from losing Mickey and his biological daughter.
This is all building to the clouds parting for Eric and Nicole, who’ll get engaged and plan to tie the knot. But wait! There’s more! In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Days of Our Lives Head Writer Ron Carlivati offered hints about other DOOL duos heading to the altar.
“But I will tease that it’s not just Ben and Ciara and Eric and Nicole,” Carlivati said. “There could be wedding bells ringing for other couples in Salem. Prepare for wedding season.”
So who are these other mystery couples? Notice Carlivati made that plural! DOOL must have more than one duo in mind here, so let’s consider some other characters that might marry.
Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) might work after they get all their legal drama sorted out. Rachel DiMera Black will be returned to her parents, so it’s easy to imagine “Bristen” making it official and locking in their family.
What about Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey)? They could be another Days couple that’ll ultimately wed. Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) ruined their ceremony before Lani ruined Gabi’s in return.
It makes sense to give Lani and Eli another chance at their happily ever after, even if those don’t always last very long on soaps.
