Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, August 12, reveal that Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) and Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) looked for Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) near the nurses’ station at the hospital.
Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) rushed up saying that Allie was seen getting into a cab, and that this was all Nicole’s fault. Sami blasted Nicole, saying that she wasn’t going to let Nicole take her grandson. Sami left to go find Allie.
Nicole told Eric that she was concerned about Allie, and they went back to Allie’s room to finish reading her letter. It was a touching letter that said that Allie wanted both Nicole and Eric to raise her baby together as a package deal. Allie said some disparaging things about Sami in the letter while giving high praise to Nicole and Eric.
Nicole wondered if this was meant to be, and she told Eric that while her priority was what’s best for the baby, Sami had been pretty intimidating earlier. Nicole said that Sami’s words weren’t just a threat, they were a promise, too.
At the Kiriakis mansion, Will Horton (Chandler Massey) talked with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) via phone, saying that he didn’t know if Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) would ever forgive him.
Sonny walked in and told Will that Ari Horton (Sydney Brower) flipped out when she learned that they weren’t adopting Allie’s baby, but that it was because Ari thought she wouldn’t get a puppy.
Will again apologized for keeping the secret about Sami’s plot from Sonny. Ultimately, Sonny forgave Will, and the two of them decided to search online for a rescue puppy for Ari.
Meanwhile, over at Eric and Nicole’s apartment, Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) was babysitting for Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander) when she heard a noise and went to investigate. Turns out, it was Allie looking for her passport in the living room.
Claire wondered what Allie was doing, and Allie rehashed what Sami did and how Will and Sonny were no longer getting the baby. Suddenly, Sami banged on the door, and Allie hid while Claire answered. Sami barged in, looking for Allie.
Claire covered for Allie while Sami went on about how Allie was making horrible decisions and that this was all Nicole’s fault. Allie overheard everything from the other room.
Eventually, Claire got rid of Sami, and Allie returned, even more upset with her mom than she was before. Claire and Allie talked about Allie giving her baby over to Nicole and Eric and about how Allie felt that she wasn’t ready to raise a child. Allie took her passport and some cash from Claire.
At the Brady Pub, Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Kate DiMera (Lauren Koslow) finished their dinner and their hands accidentally touched while they each reached for the check.
Kate offhandedly remarked that Abe could come home with her, but she just meant that he could come to the DiMera mansion to look over a contract that Abe had wanted to see.
Later, Abe and Kate were reviewing the contract at the mansion when Lucas walked in and updated Kate about Allie not allowing Will and Sonny to adopt her baby.
Kate went on about Sami and how this was all her fault, and Sami walked in and overheard Kate’s disparaging words. Sami told Lucas that Allie had run off and left a note saying that she wanted Nicole to raise the baby. Sami rushed off, and Lucas left a voicemail for Allie.
At the penthouse, Belle Black (Martha Madison) stopped by to see Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
After some discussion about Claire not wanting to go back to Hong Kong, Belle said that perhaps she and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) should stay in Salem for a while. Marlena thought that was a wonderful idea, and that Belle could help Claire and Sami as well.
Sami then rushed in the penthouse asking if Allie was there, and Sami shared that Allie had bolted from the hospital and that she’d left a note saying that she wants Nicole to raise her baby.
Sami turned to Belle saying that she needed her help as a lawyer. “You have to help me stop Nicole from getting anywhere near my grandson!” Sami roared. Marlena looked horrified.
Finally, back at Eric and Nicole’s apartment, Allie turned her phone on and listened to Lucas’ voicemail. Allie asked Claire to give her little boy a kiss if she ever babysits for him. Allie and Claire hugged tenderly, and Allie took off.
