Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, September 9 Recap – Ciara Explodes Before Ben’s Eyes – Tripp’s Soft On Claire

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 9, reveal that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) talked outside the Brady Pub. Claire wanted to apologize for the past and make things right.

Tripp said that Claire didn’t need to do that, and he apologized for his poor choices in the past. Claire said that he didn’t need to do that, and that she was the one who was needy and clingy.

Tripp acknowledged that he was selfish with his marriage to Haley Chen (Thia Megia), and Tripp and Claire spoke a little about Haley’s death. Talk soon turned to Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) being missing, and Claire broke down.

Tripp comforted Claire tenderly, and after some talk about how Claire was strong and was doing much better, Tripp invited Claire inside the pub, but Claire said that she needed to get back to see if Ciara had been found yet.

In the car, Vincent Bellman (Michael Teh) and Ciara drove along. Vincent kept calling Ciara by Wendy Taylor’s (Denice Duff) name, and Ciara tried to find out where they were going.

After agitating Vincent by insisting that she wasn’t Wendy, Ciara started playing along and pretending to be Wendy. Ciara asked Vincent to take her back to the apartment, but Vincent refused, and soon Vincent revealed that they were going to get on a plane.

Ciara remained unnerved by the gun that Vincent was carrying on his lap, and Ciara told Vincent that they didn’t need the gun. But Vincent said that he had to be ready to protect her from Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).

Meanwhile, at Wendy’s apartment, Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) looked around, and Hope found Ciara’s bracelet. Since the bracelet wasn’t broken, Hope surmised that Ciara left it for them to find. Shawn put in a DMV search for Wendy’s car, and they hoped that someone would spot the car.

At the police station, Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) visited Ben in the interrogation room. Jake said that he knew that Ben wouldn’t hurt Ciara. Ben told Jake the story about Vincent taking Ciara off-screen, and Jake did a little snooping and discovered that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) was getting Ben released soon. Jake reassured Ben, then he left.

Soon, Hope and Shawn returned to the station just as Ben got released. Ben got up to speed on Vincent having been engaged to Wendy, and about how Hope and Shawn found Ciara’s bracelet at Wendy’s apartment.

“This is his revenge,” Ben said. Suddenly, Shawn got a hit on Wendy’s car, which was presently right outside a private airstrip. Ben, Shawn, and Hope took off for the airstrip.

At the DiMera Mansion, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) told Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about how the pleasant thoughts about their life together got her through while she was in Florida.

Abigail wondered if maybe they were wrong about Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) drugging her, and together they flashed back to that night at Julie’s Place when Abigail was drugged. Chad didn’t think that anyone else had a motive to hurt Abigail other than Gabi.

Chad and Abigail canoodled a bit, then Chad stepped out to take a call and Jake walked in. Abigail thought he was Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) for a moment, then realized it was Jake.

After some talk about Abigail’s mental health, the topic of Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien) came up. Abigail said that she found Gwen in Chad’s arms because Jake dumped her.

Jake thought it was amusing that Chad was “comforting” Gwen, and Chad walked in the room. Abigail said that Jake was just insinuating that there was something between Chad and Gwen, and Chad said that Jake was wrong. “Yet you’re allowing Gwen to stay here,” Jake mused. “I’m doing that to make your life miserable,” Chad replied.

Jake then said that Chad would pay for that, and that “You can’t keep snakes in your back yard and expect them to bite only your neighbors – You’ll find out, brother.” Jake left, and Abigail looked confused.

At Julie’s Place, Gwen sat with her champagne and flashed back to drugging Abigail’s champagne months ago. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) came along and said that Gwen looked very familiar. Gwen made up some excuses, but Julie was sure that she’d seen Gwen before. Gwen quickly took off.

Soon, Gwen returned to the DiMera mansion, where she pulled out some more of the drugs from her suitcase. After flashing back again to drugging Abigail, Gwen said to herself that maybe it was time for another dose. Jake then walked in the room.

Back downstairs, Chad apologized for Jake. Abigail wondered if there was something that Chad wanted to tell her…like why Jake was so convinced that there was something going on between him and Gwen. Chad admitted that Gwen kissed him.

At the private airstrip, Vincent was upset when they pulled up to the gate and it was locked. Ciara thought maybe they could come back tomorrow, but Vincent said that it had to be now.

Ciara tried to leave the car, but Vincent stopped her. Ciara said that she was just going to open the gate for him. Then Vincent got agitated, and he realized that Ciara wasn’t Wendy. Vincent looked angry.

A short time later, Hope, Shawn, and Ben rushed up and Hope yelled for Vincent to get out of the car. Vincent complied and put his weapon on the ground. Ben yelled, “Where is she?” Vincent suddenly took off running, and Hope and Shawn chased after him. Ben walked to the car, which promptly exploded before his eyes.
