Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that romance will soon be in the air for a few key DOOL couples. The new DOOL promo for the week of June 15th involves love, romance, and passion, as well as one failed attempt at a passionate tryst.
First, the promo shows Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) taking a little time to wine and dine his wife Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves). Jack and Jennifer are shown at the DiMera Mansion, where they’ve been staying with their grandkids since Abigail DiMera (Kate Mansi) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) have been out of town.
“May I show Madame to her table?” Jack says, as he surprises Jennifer with the romantic setup, complete with candles and some sort of food that Jennifer seems to really like. After all the hardships that Jack and Jennifer have been through in the past, it’s great to see them getting some alone time and enjoying each other’s company.
The promo also shows a brief flash of Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) kissing happily, as well as Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) reuniting with a kiss.
We’ll see how long the good feelings between Jake and Gwen last, given their history, but for at least the moment they’ll be happy to see each other.
The promo also shows John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) canoodling and enjoying some alone time together. Of course, they might not get much time alone now that Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) is staying at the penthouse with them. Nevertheless, it seems like John and Marlena might steal some time together.
As they’re cuddling, John tells Marlena, “I’m so exhausted.” Marlena then looks mischievous and says, “Completely exhausted?” John then quickly catches on and explains that he’s not that exhausted, as the two hustle to move things to the bedroom.
Finally, the promo addresses an upcoming situation between Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). According to DOOL spoilers, Sarah will decide that they need to up their game in their quest to really hurt and anger Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).
Sarah will tell Brady that they need to not just pretend to have an affair…they need to sleep together for real!
This is going to lead to some awkward moments, since Brady is still very much in love with Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Sarah is still in love with Xander. Apparently, things won’t go so smoothly as Brady and Sarah hit the sheets, and as they’ll each have a lot on their minds, their attempt to make love will be a miserable failure.
The promo shows Brady and Sarah after their lovemaking attempt, lying in bed next to each other looking at the ceiling and clearly distraught. “For the record, this has never happened to me before,” Brady will insist.
Sarah will look completely embarrassed by the whole thing. Chances are it won’t be long before Brady and Sarah agree to pretend like the whole thing never happened!
