Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that viewers are in for a week of interpersonal drama on the NBC soap. The new Days of Our Lives extended promo is out, and aside from the serious angst that Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) rape allegation against Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is going to bring, there will be plenty of action on several storyline fronts.
Since we’ve covered the Allie/Tripp portion of the extended promo in a separate post, let’s take a look at what else viewers can expect during the week of October 5. First off, Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) is going to be all over Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) for his help in securing her a conviction against Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Melinda is shown in the promo telling Eli that what she’d really like from him is a taped confession. “From Kristen?” Eli exclaims.
Viewers will remember that Melinda has told Eli that she won’t pursue charges against Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) for aiding and abetting Kristen earlier this year when Kristen escaped police custody…on the condition that Eli helps her nail Kristen.
Well, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Eli will take the deal with Melinda, as he’s going to want to keep his pregnant wife Lani out of jail and far away from prosecution as possible. That means that Eli will go to Kristen and try to get her on a recording admitting that she stabbed Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).
The promo shows Eli and Kristen talking at the Salem Inn, presumably as Eli is trying to get a confession out of her. It looks like the pressure is going to get to Eli, as he and Kristen’s conversation escalates, with him shouting at her, “I don’t give a damn how you feel!”
We’ll see if Kristen actually confesses – Kristen’s pretty smart, so she probably knows better than to go running her mouth, even behind closed doors.
Next, the extended Days of Our Lives promo addresses the ongoing tension between Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). Of course, Xander has just promised Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) that he will be civil and gracious to Xander going forward.
Unfortunately for Xander, Philip is going to be out for blood against Xander, and that’s going to make Xander want to fight back.
We all know how Xander is, and when Philip confronts Xander for having him arrested and starts calling him names, Xander’s going to have a tough time standing down.
Ongoing Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Xander will eventually be worn down by Philip, so it looks like he’ll end up going against Sarah’s wishes and play dirty with Philip once again. We’ll see how that unfolds.
Finally, Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) love life will suddenly get a boost. Claire will literally bump into a Titan Industries intern named Charlie (Mike C. Manning) while she’s walking through town square.
It will end up in a smoothie getting dumped all over Charlie’s shirt, but it doesn’t look like Charlie will be too upset about it when he gets and eyeful of Claire.
Charlie is shown in the promo asking Claire if she wants to go out with her, and she smiles and replies, “For smoothies?” Charlie looks pretty cute, so Claire will probably say yes to the date and a new relationship will be born!
One wonders whether Charlie will know about Claire and her history, or how and when that will come up!
