Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will head in a brand-new direction following his return to Salem. On November 27, Rafe will find that Salem has changed drastically while he’s been in hiding.
Rafe will ditch one problem once Eduardo Hernandez’s (A Martinez) threat is off his back, but he’ll find more issues waiting for him back home.
It’ll be tough for Rafe to cope with Ciara Brady Weston’s (Victoria Konefal) death and Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) departure. Rafe was hopeful about reconnecting with Hope and seeing where their new chapter might lead. Instead, Rafe will have to figure out a chapter that doesn’t include Hope at all.
On the bright side, Days of Our Lives has another love interest all picked out for Rafe. The show’s 55th anniversary cast photo makes it clear that Rafe and Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) are the duo they’re going with.
Naturally, DOOL writers will start out by reestablishing Nicole and Rafe’s friendship. It’ll take some time to build to Rafe and Nicole’s romance – especially since Nicole still has a husband off in the Congo.
However, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) is off the show, which means Nicole needs a new path as well. We can certainly think of one story direction that’d be fitting for both Nicole and Rafe. Could these two end up having a baby together?
Although Nicole doesn’t believe she can carry a baby to term, Eric mistakenly thought she was pregnant a few months back. After Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) selected Eric and Nicole as adoptive parents for her baby, that brought another conversation about more children.
It left Nicole and Eric open to the idea of adding a little one to their family.
Of course, a lot’s changed since then – including Eric’s exit and Allie’s growing bond with her son, Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox). Nicole obviously isn’t going to keep Henry, but maybe DOOL will provide another child – a miracle baby that Nicole wasn’t expecting at all.
It’d be the perfect story for Days to do with Rafe, who’s always wanted to be a father.
Rafe lost custody of David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends), but maybe he’ll get another chance at fatherhood through Nicole. If Nicole miraculously gets pregnant by Rafe, there’ll be no way to hide a betrayal from Eric!
There’d be plenty of places to go with a story like that, so we’ll see where Nicole and Rafe’s brewing romance leads them.
