Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) are headed back to Salem this summer. Since Allie Horton will also be part of the summer action, there’ll definitely be some daughter drama for Lucas and Sami to tackle. An older version of Allie will return to town – and she’ll bring a big secret along with her.
However, we want to talk about Allie’s parents. Days probably isn’t bringing an EJ DiMera recast on anytime soon, so Sami should be on her own when she comes back. Lucas may also be single, so that presents the potential for a “Lumi” reunion. Will these former flames find their spark again during their upcoming return stint?
Sami has certainly been known to do some bed-hopping, so there’s no guarantee she’ll be loyal to offscreen EJ. That’s especially true since Lucas and Sami will be handling a crisis together.
It could be a situation where Lucas and Sami will connect over their troubles. They’ll be worried about Allie and her latest issues, so that could leave Sami leaning on Lucas more and more.
We also know Will Horton (Chandler Massey) is set to exit DOOL in September along with Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith). That could actually change to August now that the show’s bypassing previous sports preemption dates and moving ahead with new content. They’ll burn through episodes a bit quicker as a result.
Sami should still be around when Will leaves, so Lucas may still be around, too. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Will’s going to land in some trouble that forces his abrupt exit.
It won’t be good news that takes Will and Sonny off canvas, so that’s something else to mull over. Lucas and Sami’s son will be in crisis mode after their daughter, which is another way to bring these parents together.
On Twitter, “Lumi” fans have been showing their support for this pairing. Sami and Lucas shippers would love to see them reunited. “Allie, you know what to do. Scheme to get your parents back together,” one viewer tweeted. “#Lumi never got a fair chance,” another Twitter user insisted. “If only they would fix the error they made when they decided to screw up #Lumi endgame,” said one more fan.
