Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) could go from Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) enemy to his hero! Let’s consider what’s at stake here. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has warned Xander about the deadly danger of going up against “Angela Van de Camp.”
Of course, DOOL viewers know Angela is actually Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) – and her survival will soon be exposed to a few Salemites, including Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).
It won’t take long for the news to spread – and Joey Johnson (James Lastovic) will ultimately go free thanks to Ava’s surprising return. As for Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey), she’ll put the puzzle pieces together and have a major revelation about Philip’s secret ally.
It looks like Sarah may uncover Philip’s connection to Ava – and so will Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) during the week of December 14-18. Xander may soon be ready to expose Philip and Ava’s partnership to Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).
At that point, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Philip won’t really have anything to bargain with. He won’t be able to launder money or pay back his debt to the Vitali family. Philip won’t even be able to hold Ava’s secret survival over her since that’ll become common knowledge.
There’ll be nothing to save Philip from Ava’s lethal wrath. Days spoilers say Philip will be useless, so Ava could easily seek deadly revenge since Philip couldn’t do what he promised.
Obviously, Philip isn’t going to die and will remain in Salem in the months ahead. That means Philip’s going to need a hero – and he just might find a shocking one in Xander.
Although Xander’s done some pretty terrible things in the past, his character has grown thanks to the love he has for Sarah. Xander isn’t the kind of guy who’d just feed Philip to the wolves anymore. At the end of the day, Philip is family. Xander hates Philip’s guts, but that doesn’t mean he’ll just let Ava kill Victor’s son.
Perhaps Xander will be the one who steps up and saves Philip’s life. Whether that’s through negotiating with Ava or even taking a bullet for Philip, perhaps a heroic gesture could change Philip’s opinion of Xander.
Although Philip and Xander are never going to be close, having Xander save Philip could bring a nice thaw between them. If Xander pulls off a dramatic rescue and gets Ava off Philip’s back, it could serve as a new beginning and the start of peace.
