The Queens headed to Mobile, Alabama. They came because they heard someone needed help. Danyale was going to be the Queen of the LeFlore High School Reunion and it seems she needs all the help she could get to realize her power. There were going to be thousands at the reunion. They combined several classes together and so Danyale had to do more than her usual. She has to shine like she never shined before. Danyale had run for Prom Queen back in the day and she lost to Angela. Angela got a huge moment. Danyale didn’t and so she was hoping this reunion will be different. She was going to have her coronation at the reunion. She had to look her best and that’s when the Queens came in.
Danyale bought a dress she doesn’t like. It does nothing for her and so she was going to need help with that. She said she doesn’t know how to make herself beautiful. She just married the love of her life a year ago and he believes she’s beautiful no matter what. Danyale merely needed some confidence. She bought a dress that was too baggy for her and she probably picked it up because she didn’t know that she could get a nicer dress in plus size. The Queens knew they needed to get Danyale out of Mobile. They flew her to NYC and she met a designer while she was there. She was going to be given a custom dress.
A custom dress was much better than one off the rack. The piece was going to be customized to her body and it would highlight the curves. They were going to add a corset to it. The corset would stitch her in. The designer and the Queens showed her what the corset would like. They had her try one on. She had been snatched in and she looked amazing. She couldn’t really breathe. Only it was worth it because of how amazing she looked and the Queens weren’t done there. They also wanted to teach Danyale how to stand out. They took her to Times Square and they had her go down the stairs.
It was a lesson in how to command attention. Danyale was nervous at first. She wasn’t sure she should wave and she kept her head down most of the time. Bebe had to take her down the stairs herself the second. She showed Danyale how to pose on the steps and keep her head up. Danyale was going to be a queen in front of thousands. She needed to feel like a queen if she was ever going to look like a queen. To that end, Alexis was going to take Danyale to a drag bar. She was going to make Danyal over into a Drag Queen and to start it off she showed Danyale the joys of using a glue stick.
The glue stick was to help her lift her eyebrows. A high eyebrow helps make the eyes appear wider and that wasn’t the only trick the Queens knew. They did Danyale makeup so well that she found herself beautiful for the first time in a long time. The Queens knew how to lift everything and how to change the structure of their nose as well as their cheekbones. There was no one who knew better than them. They did up Danyale so well that she went to the Drag Bar looking fabulous. Her friends and family were there and they all cheered her on. They loved her and she felt the love when she was in that room with them.
Then came the Big Day. Danyale had been nervous. She never had a fitting and so she was worried if the dress would fit. They actually had a much harder time with the corset than they did with the dress. They had to shimmy her into that corset. They got her into it eventually and so it came time for the dress itself. The dress was a perfect fit. It looked wonderful on her and her figure was amazing in that dress. Danyale looked beautiful. She even felt beautiful and she had the Queens to thank for it. They even told her they wouldn’t be at the coronation. They wanted her to be confident to stand on her own and so it wasn’t until she got to the reunion that she realized her favorite Queens were there as well.
They lied to Danyale for her own benefit. She walked to her coronation so proudly and she had followed the lessons she had been taught. Danyale owned her moment. She didn’t just look good. It was clear she felt great as well and so she and the Queens got the party started at the reunion.
