Tonight on CBS Evil airs with an all-new Thursday, January 30, 2020 episode and we have your Evil finale recap below. On tonight’s Evil season 1 episode 13 “Book 27,” as per the CBS synopsis, “David, Kristen and Ben assess whether a pregnant woman is possessed when she claims one of the twins she’s carrying is evil.
Their investigation leads to a fertility clinic where they discover a connection to all of their encounters throughout the season. Also, Kristen questions one of her daughters’ capacity for evil upon realizing that she also used that fertility clinic.”

Kristen is talking to the serial killer, Orson, who was just on trial and released. She asks him a few questions. When it makes a move she is readily attacking him with her chair. She wakes. George is on top of her. She is ready for him too. She stabs him with a knife. She hears clapping and comes out of her room to see a beast. He tells her she should have taken her husband’s gift, a chance to leave for her work. Her daughter wakes her and is bleeding from her mouth. She lunges forward and finally wakes up.
In the morning, she gets the girls ready, telling them their dad will be back soon from Denver. She walks them to the bus, explaining that Grandma (Sheryl) isn’t going to be around much. After the girls leave on the bus, Orson calls her name from a little bit down the street. She approaches him angry, calling the police. He explains he just wanted to tell her no hard feelings. After she speaks to the police, saying there is a man on the street watching school girls, he leaves.
Kristen, Ben, and David visit a woman who is pregnant with twins, one boy, one girl. She wants an exorcism. Her son is evil, she tells them, and he is threatening her daughter. The receptionist watches from a distance, she talks to Leland on the phone, telling him that the three are there.
Back at home, Kristen talks to her mom. She tells her she needs to pick her family or crazy Leland. Her mom tells her goodbye. Seconds later, Mira knocks. She has come by to tell Kristen to leave Orson alone. He reported that she accosted him. Kristen laughs she is so angry. Mira warns her one more time and leaves. David texts her. They rush to see the pregnant woman who believes she is possessed, or at least her baby is. David preys over her while her stomach goes wild. She tells them the devil is inside her and she needs to get him out before he kills her.
Cheryl goes to visit Leland. She brings him something of Kristen‘s. Leland asks for her keys and she hands them to him. He pretends to give her a key to his apartment but takes Kristen‘s key off the ring. Somebody knocks at the door, Leland opens it to find Orson. He throws and Kristen’s key and tells them to make a copy quick.
Kristen, David, and Ben are speaking to a priest about their possessed woman. They go back-and-forth debating what to do when someone calls Kristen. She takes the call in the hallway. It is Orson, he threatens to kill her and snap the necks of her daughters. She quickly calls Ben to try to get him to record the conversation but it is too late. Ben goes home with her and installs a security alarm and changes all the door locks.
Kristen, David and Ben head to church with their pregnant woman who is on the altar receiving communion when she screams out. She falls to the ground and begins to gush blood. They rush her to the hospital. After receiving an ultrasound she realizes that her daughter is missing in the womb and it is now only her son.
Later, the doctor comes in and tells the woman that she has suffered vanishing twin, it is when one twin absorbs the other. Luckily, her son is healthy. She is completely disgusted and mortified and does not believe that the twin vanished but that her son ate her daughter.
That night, they all work together to perform an exorcism ritual.
At dinner that night after telling Leland that she is upset, Sheryl sees him get down on one knee at the restaurant to propose to her. She accepts.
While she is out at the exorcism, Kristen‘s daughter Lexis wakes to answer the door after she hears the doorbell. It is a monster from one of Kristen‘s dreams. He tries to get her to leave the house with him.
After looking over some paperwork their client had on fertility, Ben and David recognize a strange triangle used in the company’s name. They head to the fertility company.
Meanwhile, Kristen heads home to find her daughter sleeping on the floor of the living room with a gift basket next to her from Orson. She sends her to bed, calls the babysitter, gets a pickax out of the closet and leaves the house. Later, when Kristen arrives at the hospital Ben notices some blood on her leg. He asks for her about it but she insists that it wasn’t blood after washing it off.
Ben and David tell Kristen about what they have discovered in regards to the triangle in the company’s name. It relates to Matthew 13. David believes that this is a way that evil plants poison in this world; using invitro. When they tell Kristen about this she looks upset. She had a miscarriage after Leila and used the same in vitro company for Lexis.
Back at home, Kristen looks through her paperwork from the fertility company. A knock comes. She answers. It’s her mom who tells her she is marrying Leland. She wants Kristen to be happy for her. Kristen shuts the door in her face. On her way to the bathroom, Mira calls. Orson is dead. Kristen begins to breathe heavy and shares her sorrow. In the bathroom, she washes her hands and then touches her rosary beads. They burn her.
