Some long-haul truckers were found murdered with their truck missing. Their truck was carrying gun and ammo from a weapons manufacturer. Not the sort of thing that the FBI wanted flooding the streets and so the agents went to work in investigating what happened. The truckers had to pull over because there was something wrong with the truck. The trucks were usually handled by third-party. The FBI looked into this thirty-party and they found he had a record. Kevin McGuire went to prison for theft and he quickly joined an Aryan gang known as the Riker’s Royals. He still runs with this gang as far anyone knew.
FBI Special Agents Maggie Bell and Omar Adom “OA” Zidan went to this bar. They questioned a woman that’s been seen with McGuire and at first she tried to deny knowing the man. Maggie and OA pushed back with the evidence they had of her being in a relationship with McGuire. They also told her that lying to federal agents is a crime and so the woman broke down. Leah confessed to everything. She had been with McGuire when he killed those two truckers and he left her without a word. She said she’s been trying to reach all day.
McGuire was seen using a burner. He wasn’t responding to any calls and so the feds traced him by following the last place where his phone pinged. Maggie and OA later went to this location. They found a very dead McGuire and all of the guns. The only thing that was missing was the ammo. The ammo was black tips and that meant they were armor piercing. They were some very heavy duty ammo. They would be dangerous in the wrong hands and so the FBI did their best to find it. They started by looking at security footage in the area.
They found a van that went to the area where the truck was found. This same van was seen leaving twenty minutes later and so the feds followed it back into the city. They later found it abandoned. It had some paint on it that could only be found in containers and so they found it a shipping container that recently came in the area. Maggie and OA searched this container, but they found evidence that someone had been living there and so they called in CSI to search the place for DNA. No one expected that the DNA that was found would lead back to Mansor.
Mansor was a terrorist in charge of an organization known as NIA. The FBI supposedly oversaw a mission that killed him months ago and, so to find out he was alive, had come as a shock. Mansor’s death had been celebrated. There was even people that were awarded after he was dead and so news of Mansor being alive had to be kept under wraps. OA for one wanted answers. He had worked on the original case and he was there when they bombed the building. OA just didn’t where it all went wrong.
He spoke to a buddy that had also been on the case. He asked about the intel that led to the bombing and his friend told him that he didn’t actually confirm that Mansor was in that building. He said he knew Mansor neve traveled without his wife or his brother. Both parties were in the building they bombed along with an unidentified third person. This third person was believed to be Mansor. They never actually confirmed that it was him and so that’s how Mansor was able to survive the hit. And because everyone thought he was dead, Mansor was able to do whatever he wanted.
This included planning an attack on American soil. Mansor was in New York and he access to semi-automatic weapons as well as armor piercing bullets. Mansor used to freedom to come up with an elaborate plan and now it was up to the FBI to unravel it before it was too late. They decided to start with the shipping container. They looked for whoever paid for it and they found Daniel Khan. He was second generation Indonesian-American and he’s always been in trouble. He was looking for his roots when he came across a NIA website and its been a downhill battle from there.
Daniel Khan paid for everything. He paid for the shipping containers using his father’s company as a front and that’s how they found it right before they used him. They used the fact they could arrest his father against Daniel. Daniel didn’t want to hurt his dad and so confessed. He said that he was helping the NIA. They were planning an attack and he was supposed to be involved in some way. He was going to receive instructions at a location the next day. The FBI used that and they got Daniel to make that meeting.
They had bugged Daniel. They listened in as he met a member of NIA and this other man confirmed that Mansor was still alive. He said that Mansor wanted vengeance for what happened to his family. Its why he was here in the states and this other man said that Daniel could be a part of it. Daniel tried to act enthusiastic. He played up wanting to impress Mansor and he must have pushed too hard because this other guy got spooked. He said Daniel wasn’t ready to honor his homeland and then he disappeared before the FBI could catch him.
Again, this frustrated OA. OA built his career on the back of taking down Mansor and now that’s its been revealed as a lie he doesn’t know what to do with himself. He’s questioning his every move. He even questioned his friendships from back then and so OA was on edge all the time. He kept going over what the terrorist said. The terrorist had said something about a ceremony and OA believes he could have been talking about the Ring Melt Ceremony. It was at a military college and it was when seniors handed their rings to incoming freshmen.
The man that ordered the hit on Mansor’s family was also going to be a host at this ceremony. So, the FBI rushed to the college and they found several members of the NIA that were hiding as musicians. They couldn’t find Mansor at first. They searched the auditorium and eventually someone spotted him. They spotted him but they couldn’t take the shot from their vantage point and so they told OA to do it. OA had wanted to confirm it was Mansor before he took the shot. He kept hoping the guy would turn around and it all came down to trust. OA had to trust that this other person was right about it being Mansor. And so he took the shot.
And it turned out to be Mansor. OA killed him five years after the mission to kill Mansor failed and so he forgave his friend who also had to make a judgement call all those years ago.
