General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) may have some difficult days ahead. As GH viewers know, Anna believes that she shot her sister Alex Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) dead, but as Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) pointed out on a recent episode, no body has been recovered.
And given that this is a soap and characters have real difficulty staying dead, many fans are assuming that Alex may well have survived.
Now, Alex was clearly shot twice and she was in bad shape when she flung herself over the side of the Haunted Star, but we have to remember that she had someone who was going to meet her with a helicopter, and so it stands to reason that she might have had someone in the water, too, who could have helped her in her time of need.
Alex would probably need some serious recovery time, but it’s always possible that she could still be out there somewhere.
And if Alex does manage to survive, then there’s the very real possibility that she’s going to want two things – revenge on Anna, and her son Peter August (Wes Ramsey).
Alex appeared to just love being in Peter’s presence for the short time that they were together, and something tells us that she won’t just let him go on believing that Anna is his mother. Plus, Alex will probably want to seriously punish Anna for shooting her.
Of course, if Alex does return, she’ll probably do it in spectacular fashion – maybe she’ll even show up at Anna’s wedding to Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and decide to drop the bombshell about being Peter’s biological mother there.
That would be a tough revelation for Anna, since it would shock both Peter and Finn. GH viewers will remember that Anna totally lied to Finn, telling him that there was no way of knowing who Peter’s mother was…when she knows darn well that Alex is Peter’s bio mom.
So, if Alex comes back and discloses everything, then Anna will be exposed for hiding things or outright lying to both Peter and Finn. Anna’s marriage could be over before it ever began, and her relationship with Peter could be destroyed forever.
It would certainly be a big bombshell if the officiant asked if anyone objected to Anna and Finn’s union, and Alex showed up to object!
We’ll see what happens here, but something tells us that Anna’s lies are going to really come back to bite in a terrible way, with Finn possibly realizing that Anna lied to him to protect Peter, and with Peter possibly realizing that Anna kept the truth about Alex from him.
