General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) may face an unexpected threat down the road. GH viewers know Nelle is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter, but Nina and Nelle are still in the dark. Once Nina finds the other half of her heart pendant, any affection Nina has for Nelle is sure to grow.
If Nina backs Nelle up on the stand in court and helps her lock in custody rights, that’ll put Nina on Nelle’s good side, too. Nelle has definitely been manipulating Nina, but she genuinely seems to like her.
Despite all her mistakes and flaws, Nelle is still human and appears to crave closeness with someone. Nina can step up to fill the nurturing void Nelle’s felt her entire life.
Nelle and Nina seem poised to be quite chummy as a mother-daughter duo. Perhaps Nina will give Nina a promotion and bond with her over fun girly stuff. Nina may treat Nelle like another version of Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), but she’ll be setting herself up for heartache – just like before.
It seems like Nina’s already putting a bit too much faith in Nelle, and that’s only going to get worse once Nina confirms Nelle is her biological child. That brings us to the unexpected threat we mentioned. Nelle has a big one that could come back to haunt her down the road.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) helped Nelle deliver her baby on the night of the switch and knows things didn’t go down the way Nelle said they did. Although Liesl was framed for Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) crimes and shipped off to The Hague, her exit is only temporary.
General Hospital spoilers insist Liesl will return eventually, so it’s just a matter of when Peter will go down and his setup will be exposed.
It’s easy to imagine Aunt Liesl coming home and trying to blow up Nelle’s relationship with Nina. Nelle and Nina may be getting along better than ever at that point.
Liesl could cause serious issues if she reveals Nelle’s lies and tries to push Nelle out of Nina’s life. This could set Nelle and Liesl up to be even worse enemies, which would be especially fun now that they’re family!
