General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) has lost everything because of Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier). It’s true that Brad made his fair share of poor choices throughout the baby swap mess, but Nelle orchestrated the whole thing. Brad was battling intense grief over the loss of the baby he just adopted. Nelle arguably took advantage of Brad in a very vulnerable state.
Once Brad let Nelle talk him into switching babies, he had plenty of opportunities to come clean. We’re certainly not letting Brad off the hook here. It’s just a matter of who was more responsible – and that person was Nelle.
Nelle got Brad into this mess and he felt pressured to stick with it as more time passed. There was really no way for Brad to get out of it unscathed, so he held on for as long as he could.
Now that the secret’s blown up, Nelle’s turned on Brad and is trying to pin the whole baby swap on him. He was her only friend and she did him dirty! Brad may be a snake, but that’s cruel. Not only did Nelle make this mess for Brad, she’s currently off the hook while he pays the price.
Since General Hospital doesn’t seem to have exit plans for Brad, that probably means Julian Jerome (William deVry) will hold up his end of the bargain they made.
Brad will keep Julian’s knowledge of the switch under wraps if he scores his freedom. It seems like Brad will indeed wiggle out of this somehow, but then what? Will Brad seek revenge on Nelle?
It’s easy to imagine Brad wanting Nelle to face her comeuppance. It’d be risky to break the law and possibly land himself back behind bars, but that may be a risk Brad’s willing to take. After all, it’s not like Brad’s capable of staying on the straight and narrow. He’s proven that he just can’t do that.
Since Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is about to get back in the mix, maybe she could help Brad out eventually. That’d be a fun duo to take Nelle down and anything is possible in Port Charles once the ‘Britch’ is back! Regardless, Nelle will surely face her downfall one way or another. Whether GH kills Nelle off or sends her back to Pentonville, Brad should walk free and get the last laugh!
