General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) just kicked off what could be the beginning of a beautiful pairing.
On the September 22 episode, Maxie became quite nosy about Brando’s personal life. She dropped a hint about setting handsome, single Brando up, but we’d say those scenes were about setting up Brando and Maxie instead!
This definitely seemed to be a chemistry test for Brando and Maxie – and most fans seem to agree they passed with flying colors. Maxie’s curiosity was cute and so was Brando’s willingness to answer most of Maxie’s questions.
We’ve seen Brando shut down with plenty of other people, but Maxie’s persistence paid off as Brando opened up just a tad.
Brando nearly made a major blunder by momentarily forgetting he’s supposed to have a child, but he smoothed things over by explaining “Dev Corbin” (Ashton Arbab) entered his life much later. That led Maxie to point out that there was still time for Brando to connect with Dev and have more kids if he chooses to.
In fact, there was an awful lot of talk about Maxie’s kids as well. Maxie even joked about potentially moving up to minivan status after admitting she had another baby on the way.
Brando clearly likes children since he admitted Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) and Donna Corinthos (Ella and Emma Hulen) were the two most important ladies in his life.
Since the conversation was so kid-centric, it almost felt like General Hospital writers were selecting a new stepdad for Maxie’s children! If love blooms between Brando and Maxie down the road, the fact that Brando likes kids will be extremely important.
Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) has Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), but James West (Owen and Curtis Rufca) never got a chance to know Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).
Once Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) secrets come out, Maxie won’t want him around Georgie, James or their unborn child for obvious reasons. Peter’s dangerous, so Maxie may work hard to keep Peter as far away as possible.
However, it’d be nice for Maxie to fall for Brando and have someone who embraces the fill-in daddy role. Maxie and her children are a package deal, so it’s good that Brando may be willing to get on board with raising some kiddos sooner or later.
If Brando winds up in a romance with Maxie, maybe they could build a sweet family together.
