General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) seems to be keeping a stunning secret about her health. After a conversation with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), GH fans saw Britt privately dealing with severe hand tremors – which she managed to hide as Peter August (Wes Ramsey) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) approached.
It’s possible Britt was just on edge over the mob war she’s now in the center of, but there appears to be more to it than that. After all, Britt’s no stranger to trouble! She’s usually the kind of gal who can keep her cool under pressure, so it’d be out of character if she was literally shaking over this mob mess.
Instead, it seems far more likely Britt has an illness that she hasn’t disclosed. If that’s the case, we have to consider what illness Britt might have. Could Britt have inherited Huntington’s disease from Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) after all?
Back in March 2018, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) claimed Britt tested negative according to Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). Of course, that could easily be rewritten.
Even if Liesl thought the results were negative, there’s always a chance that Britt lied to her mom. It’s even possible that Britt herself doesn’t know due to a lab mistake, but Britt’s probably keeping a private battle under wraps.
The point is Britt could actually have inherited Huntington’s if that’s how General Hospital writers want to take the story now. Tremors are one of the symptoms of Huntington’s so that’d certainly fit here.
Naturally, it’s also possible Britt’s dealing with another mysterious illness, but the main thing is how Britt will cope with it. No matter what Britt’s up against, she’ll have to tell someone eventually. It may be Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so that could present the opportunity for Britt and Jason to grow closer.
There’s also the matter of Britt potentially receiving a new experimental treatment – maybe one that could test her loyalties. If Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) lab team can come up with a cure, would that shift Britt’s allegiance? It could at the very least complicate things for Britt, so we’ll see how it all plays out!
