General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a long-term romantic plan is needed for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). GH seems to have short-term plans covered already. Brook Lynn has been bonding with Julian Jerome (William deVry) – and sparks are set to fly between Julian and someone surprising soon.
Of course, this shouldn’t be too surprising to fans considering the writing’s on the wall, but it’ll be surprising to Julian. Brook Lynn isn’t someone he expected to be attracted to, but there’s a good chance these two are going to land in bed together. That’ll provide some good drama with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and serve as a fun fling, but there’s no way this will be a lasting love story.
Julian and Brook Lynn just don’t seem poised for much more than a hot hookup or two. They may both just find themselves with the same needs at the same time. Besides, Julian nearly got his son killed through that murder plot on Brad Cooper (Parry Shen). When Brook Lynn finds out about Julian putting Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) in a coma, she’s sure to be appalled.
There’s also the matter of the baby swap that Julian’s been in the loop on. It would’ve been so much better for Lucas if he’d learned the truth early on, but Julian stayed quiet. Once Brook Lynn gets fed up with Julian and moves on, who will she move on with? There’s one Port Charles resident who may find himself single down the road.
Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) relationship Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) has been chugging along for quite a while now. They’re due for some drama, so this could lead to a breakup. It’s pretty clear that General Hospital’s building toward a Willow and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) romance. They can come together over “Wiley Cooper-Jones” (Eric and Theo Olson) aka Jonah Corinthos after the swap shocker comes out.
GH has an easy breakup route since there’s been so much kid talk between Chase and Willow. After learning that her real son died, Willow may not think she can give Chase the family she wants someday. She might decide she’s not interested in getting pregnant ever again and walk away from Chase so he can get that fam with someone else.
Regardless, Chase is going to need another love interest option if General Hospital goes with Michael and Willow for a while. Could Brook Lynn be the perfect way to go? After all, Brook Lynn is wildly different from Willow. Chase and Willow are both super sweet, but Brook Lynn could bring the spice. It might be interesting to see how Chase deals with having a woman like Brook Lynn in his life.
Whatever the case, GH might’ve set up the possibility of this Chase and Brook Lynn pairing. Brook Lynn inadvertently smashed a bottle over Chase’s head and got herself taken into custody. If that’s not a soapy beginning to a love story, we don’t know what is! Their bickering could’ve been a hint about a classic “hate turns to love” scenario.
