General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that one character’s behavior has become rather irritating to many GH fans. Why is Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) letting Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) persuade him so easily? Chase is a smart detective who shouldn’t be so wishy-washy.
If Chase wants to tell Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) the truth, then he should tell her the truth.
Sasha feels like it’s too late, even with the news of Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) recent death. In Sasha’s opinion, Willow and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) kiss was a turning point. However, Sasha can’t know that for sure. Why not just come clean and see what happens? What do Sasha and Chase really have to lose?
Sasha feels like Michael and Willow would be angry over their lies, which is probably true. However, is that any worse than letting Willow and Michael continue to believe they were selfish cheaters?
Like Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) has pointed out, Chase was a well-meaning idiot. That has to be better than someone who’d sleep with another woman in “Chillow’s” own home, right?
Willow should know Chase is a liar who wanted to protect Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) and make his true love happy. Chase’s deception isn’t ideal, nor is his manipulation with Sasha. Even so, Willow would surely appreciate the sacrifice Chase was willing to make, even if it took some time for her to process everything.
That doesn’t necessarily mean Willow would choose to be with Chase again, but so what? Chase wouldn’t be any worse off than he is right now. It’s not like Willow is super close to Chase anymore, so he doesn’t have some great friendship to damage.
Chase has a chance to revive his romance with Willow, but at least he’d know he tried if she turned him down. It’d surely be a relief if Willow had all the facts. Michael and Willow aren’t children who need to be coddled. They’re more than capable of handling the truth and deciding what they want afterward.
Just because Willow and Michael might decide to stay in this marriage despite the full story doesn’t mean Chase and Sasha should stay silent. Do you think it’s time for Chase to stop letting Sasha talk him out of confessing? Why can’t Chase have a mind of his own and do what he feels is best?
Of course, the real reason Chase is listening to Sasha is probably so General Hospital can reveal the truth after Sasha’s inevitable overdose. That has to be coming, so we’ll offer updates as other GH news emerges.
