General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the show may be gearing up for a huge twist – one that could bring a serious storyline collision. Let’s consider some big clues and how they might fit.
For starters, we’ve got Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier). Nelle’s hopping mad and ready to snatch Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson), but that seems too repetitive and predictable.
Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) herself recently brought up Nelle’s previous kidnapping attempt. Nelle has already tried this! Why would GH do the same thing all over again? Perhaps they don’t intend to let Nelle kidnap Wiley at all. The writers may zig when fans think they’re going to zag.
That brings us to another potential clue: Harmony Miller’s (Inga Cadranel) reappearance. There has to be a reason Harmony’s suddenly back in the story. Harmony warned Willow to listen to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) since he would offer protection. Moments later, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) revealed that Jason had been in an accident.
General Hospital seems to be intertwining these stories – and Cyrus may be what binds everything together. Now that Jason has survived the crash, Cyrus surely needs to make another bold move. What better way to flex his power than to kidnap Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) beloved grandson?
If Harmony does something to upset Cyrus, that’d be yet another reason to go after Wiley. Regardless, General Hospital might be setting up an interesting fake-out here. On August 21, Michael will make a stunning discovery. It’s possible that’ll be the tracker, but what if Michael discovers that Wiley is gone?!
GH could lead viewers to believe that Nelle was the kidnapping culprit – and you can bet the Corinthos clan would assume that, too. However, Nelle might not be so guilty after all. Although Nelle plans to snatch Wiley, who’s to say Cyrus won’t send someone to snatch him first?
After Michael won sole custody, Willow talked about Wiley’s “lucky kangaroo” – the stuffed toy containing Nelle’s tracker that’s always with Wiley. What if Nelle becomes an inadvertent hero in all of this? When confronted, Nelle might admit she put a tracker in Wiley’s stuffed animal but never actually took the tot.
In that case, the kangaroo really could end up being lucky! Wiley might still have his kangaroo by his side since that’s the only thing that’ll keep the kid quiet. Could Nelle’s tracker be what saves Wiley? Could it help Michael and the others find Wiley after Cyrus’ abduction plot?
