General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) seems to be sticking around for a while. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wants to take his enemy out, but he has to wait until the time is right. Besides, Sonny’s been busy with other family drama anyway. He’s been struggling to let Mike Corbin (Max Gail) go – and there’s Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) custody battle to contend with, too.
Since Sonny’s caught up in other things, Cyrus is free to roam around Port Charles and plot. General Hospital viewers have also seen that Cyrus is a bit of a flirt! Cyrus is actually a pretty fun villain now that he’s had a chance to interact with more characters and stir the pot.
If Cyrus is going to stay for a bit, perhaps GH should think about giving him a love interest. Of course, finding someone willing to date Cyrus might be a challenge! Cyrus is ruthless, so he needs someone who doesn’t mind.
By giving Cyrus someone to keep him warm at night, General Hospital can raise the stakes and add some depth to the character. After all, Sonny has plenty of loved ones for Cyrus to attack. The same goes for Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry), who was a mess after TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was kidnapped.
It’s only fair for Cyrus to have someone he loves, but who could love Cyrus back? Some GH fans have suggested Laura Collins (Genie Francis) as an option, but it’s tough to imagine a world where Laura could ever be with a guy like Cyrus – at least willingly.
Cyrus could try to take what he wants by forced, but Laura would probably never go to bed with him by choice.
Ava Cassadine (Maura West) is married to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and has already made her hatred for Cyrus known. After all the pain Cyrus caused for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), it’s hard to envision sparks flying for Ava and Cyrus.
Then again, there’s a thin line between love and hate. Ava tends to make big mistakes in the romance department, so you never know what might happen down the road! Another option might involve bringing back a familiar character.
Some GH fans think Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) would be a fun match for Cyrus. Cassandra may have survived that boat explosion, so her return’s a possibility.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) will also make a comeback down the road. Could you see Cyrus and Liesl working as a couple? Liesl may not be guilty of the latest crimes she’s been charged with, but she’s not an innocent woman!
She might be one of the few people who could get past Cyrus’ terrible behavior since she’s resorted to some terrible behavior herself over the years.
General Hospital could also bring someone new in the mix for Cyrus – perhaps an old flame that he already cares about. Whatever the case, GH should think about opening Cyrus’ heart to love once new episodes return. It’d be a great to give Cyrus a little more to lose. We’ll deliver updates as other news rolls in.
