General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) may face a major love dilemma down the road. GH fans know Lulu was crushed when Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) couldn’t shake his programming and was forced into treatment. Dante felt broken and wasn’t sure he could ever be fixed, so he pushed Lulu to move on.
It took some time before Lulu was willing to sign the divorce papers – and even more time before she was willing to move on like Dante insisted. However, Lulu eventually reached that point with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson). Their relationship is growing stronger every day, and Dustin’s become a guy Lulu can count on.
Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) likes Dustin as well, which is certainly important to Lulu. She wants her kids to get along with the man she dates, so it’s a relief that Rocco looks up to Dustin.
Rocco even asked Dustin to step up for take-your-dad-to-school day. It’s good that Rocco has someone to fill the void while Dante’s gone, especially since none of them know if or when Dante will be back.
However, it’s obvious that General Hospital has a Dante comeback in store for fans. GH fans know to expect a GH character back when the mentions of that character start happening all the time.
Dominic Zamprogna is willing to sign a contract and play a new story for Dante, so that’s probably going to happen once General Hospital returns with new episodes.
Of course, that may leave Lulu unsure of what to do. Lulu will certainly be glad Dante’s well enough to come home, but she may wonder how long it will last. That’s especially true if Dante’s still brooding and damaged.
Dante has been through a lot and may not have the same personality anymore – at least not in the beginning of his return stint.
Plus, Lulu’s found love with dependable Dustin. He may be a tad on the boring side, but Lulu knows what she can expect with him. Dustin’s sure to be in a tight spot as well once Dante inevitably comes back. Will Dustin step aside or try to keep Lulu focused on what they have instead of what she used to have with Dante?
It’s easy to imagine Olivia Falconeri (Lisa LoCicero) pushing Dante to fight for love. Olivia will want Dante to recapture what he’s lost, which includes Lulu. This determined mom may urge Dante to win Lulu back and rebuild his family. Dante’s bound to be a wounded soul, but he might ultimately decide Olivia’s right.
Regardless, GH could give us the long road back to “Lante.” Dante and Lulu fans want to see that magic again! There’s a good chance they’ll get their wish sooner or later, so we’ll pass along updates as more news comes in.
Although Zamprogna’s return isn’t confirmed, it seems like a done deal based on all the clues. That’s something exciting to look forward to once GH is back in production!
