General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is facing an uncertain future. GH fans know Dante’s been struggling to reconnect with Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan), but Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) offered him a pep talk.
Olivia wants to believe the future’s still bright, but she doesn’t realize Dante remains programmed to cause destruction.
Dante is motivated to complete the mission when he hears a pen clicking. He even had a reaction to Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) pen, so it doesn’t matter that Dr. Warren Kirk (Jamison Jones) is dead and gone.
Dante is still programmed and will have a deep desire to pull off this Peter August (Wes Ramsey) takedown mission.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) has a lot on her plate now that she’s taken on Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) as a patient, but she may find ways to influence Dante’s behavior until he does what he’s told. Whatever the case, General Hospital seems to be inching Dante into dangerous and deadly territory.
Of course, we have to wonder what might happen to Dante after his mission is over. Even if Dante can’t complete the mission he’s been programmed to do, his risky behavior could cost him.
Will Dante be thrown back in a WSB facility? If Dante proves he’s a danger to himself and others, it’s tough to imagine he’ll even feel comfortable remaining a free man.
Dante might get locked up again for his own good – and for the good of those who love him. It’s easy to imagine GH sending Dante off canvas for a bit in the aftermath of the looming Peter chaos.
After all, it was pretty weird for General Hospital to get rid of Dante’s obvious love interest option. Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) was cut and is now stuck in a long-term coma
Dante has vowed to wait for Lulu, so he won’t have much to do without her once this mission wraps up. That leaves General Hospital with a couple options. They can send Dante off for more treatment indefinitely or handle it quickly and then let Dante move on with another woman.
Whatever the case, it seems like Dante will need true deprogramming time at some point. Lulu warned that Rocco needed Dante to stick around and support him, but Dante may not be able to keep his promise.
Even if Dante’s only locked up again temporarily, he might feel he’s not cut out to be a father anymore. That could change after treatment, but Dante may think his future seems bleak for a while.
