General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will get some crushing news at his WSB facility in Geneva, Switzerland. On September 15, Dante will face devastating updates as he continues to miss his life back home.
These updates could leave Dante even more determined to return to Port Charles and reconnect with his loved ones.
There’s a good chance this crushing news Dante receives will be about Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) imminent death. Dante may learn that Mike’s Alzheimer’s has progressed to the point that a farewell is just around the corner.
Mike’s death episode appears to be playing out on September 16, so the timing lines up for Dante to hear right before that.
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is about to face a tough blow – and GH spoilers suggest Dante will be brought in the loop. It’ll be hard for Dante to know he can’t be there to comfort his dad.
Dante clearly struggled to hear his mom, Olivia Quartermaine’s (Lisa LoCicero) despair on the other side of that door, too. Dante’s parents are having a hard time, so Dante to want to offer comfort as soon as possible.
Although Dante’s doctor commended him on putting the work in and not taking the shortcut of accepting that special op, Dante looked like he might be rethinking it.
By going for that assignment, he could make it back to Port Charles faster. We may see Dante do his treatment just long enough so that he feels he’s no longer a threat. Then, Dante can accept his mission and expedite his return home.
However, Dante certainly values the safety of his loved ones – as we saw through Dante keeping that door closed for Olivia’s own good. You’d think Dante could’ve just said some kind words anyway!
After all, that door was in place to protect Olivia. Even so, maybe Dante feels like that would’ve made it harder for Olivia to leave without seeing him.
What about after Dante receives the bad news about Mike? Will that prompt any action from Dante? On September 17, General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will get a special gift he wasn’t expecting.
That surprise could easily be a present from Dante. Maybe Dante will send something related to baseball that lets Sonny know his son’s thinking of him and remembering Mike during this difficult time.
Of course, there’s a chance Dante could go against his instincts, accept the special op immediately and show up himself! Dante’s return would certainly be an unexpected gift.
However, due to the wording and the timing, it sounds more like Dante could send Sonny a comforting present until he can make it back in the flesh.
Will Sonny get a gift from Dante right after Mike’s death? Would knowing it’s from his son give Sonny some strength?
