General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) shocking move could have major consequences. Of course, there’s probably no need to worry too much about Nelle since she has a habit of wiggling out of trouble.
Nelle just attacked Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Briana Lane) with a pair of fabric shears, but we wouldn’t count on her paying some steep price for that.
That’s especially true since Nelle’s in the middle of a long-lost child storyline. General Hospital is gearing up for the big reveal that Nelle is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter.
There’ll be tons of places to go with that storyline, so it’d be in GH’s best interest to keep Nelle around and let her play out all the mother-daughter drama.
It’s Brook Lynn we really need to worry about here. Fortunately, Brook Lynn should survive what appeared to be a throat slashing. Amanda Setton is supposed to return to the role once her maternity leave is over, so the fact that we’ve got a temporary recast is a tipoff to Brook Lynn’s fate.
Brook Lynn should survive, but will she make a full recovery? This storyline may be more about the death of BLQ! That’s what Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) been using as a bit of a stage name for Brook Lynn.
Valentin intends to make Brook Lynn’s music dreams come true, but Nelle may have wiped them out with one slash.
It’s surely no coincidence that GH writers had Nelle attack Brook Lynn’s throat. There could be serious vocal cord injuries that make it so Brook Lynn’s singing career is kaput. Brook Lynn may have to give up those BLQ dreams of hers and find a new path.
That could fuel quite a grudge for Brook Lynn and might lead to her getting revenge on Nelle down the road. Perhaps once Nelle’s got her new mom taking care of her, her life will totally turn around.
Nina might help Nelle rise above all this craziness and find a better path of her own. It’s easy to imagine Brook Lynn seething as Nelle gets off scot-free and thrives as Nina’s daughter.
Maybe Brook Lynn will seek vengeance sooner or later, but she needs medical attention ASAP right now! As other GH news rolls in, we’ll bring you updates.
