General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) hasn’t been present on the Port Charles scene as of late, but that’s about to change. We’ll soon see Dev back in action, and he’ll interact on the teen scene for sure, but it looks like he might also develop some suspicions on another storyline front. As GH viewers know, Dev is currently pretending to be Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) son.
It’s a pretty awkward situation, since Dev and Brando are supposed to be closely related, yet they barely know each other and seem to be quite awkward around each other.
Dev wanted to get to know Brando better in previous episodes, but that’s been largely discouraged by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who are continuing to have Dev live in their home at the Corinthos compound.
Of course, the original plan was for Brando to go back to Chicago permanently and for Dev to go off to boarding school, so that the ruse that they were father and son would be easier to maintain.
But now that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is a serious threat to Sonny’s family, it was determined that both Brando and Dev needed to stay in Port Charles where Sonny could keep them both protected.
And so far, GH viewers haven’t seen much interaction between Dev and Brando, or even any mention of the fact that they’re both living in Port Charles and need to keep up a relationship for appearances’ sake. But at some point, Dev and Brando are going to need to interact, and that time could be soon approaching.
General Hospital spoilers say that Dev will soon be feeling suspicious of someone. GH viewers will remember that Dev was initially pretty suspicious of Brando’s mom, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs), and with good reason.
Gladys lied to Sonny on numerous occasions about Brando being dead, and she just seemed sketchy to Dev, who didn’t really want to be around her at all.
We have to remember that Dev may be young, but he’s got a lot of street smarts from his time on his own in Turkey. Dev seems to be pretty good at detecting when something is “off” with someone, and he certainly was right about Gladys.
Might Dev’s new sense of suspicion be about Brando? Brando certainly seems like he’s hiding something to us, and it seems to be about more than simply his former prison stint and his time in the service.
Perhaps Dev will notice something unusual about Brando, or maybe he’ll just get that sneaking suspicion that Brando is hiding something big. Brando seems pretty reticent to talk about his past, and there’s bound to be a good reason for it. And who better than Brando’s “son” to start asking questions and totally expose him!
We’ll see what happens here, but it seems that if anyone could get to the bottom of anything that Brando could be hiding right now, it could be Dev. After all, Sonny and Carly are just too distracted right now with all the things going on with Mike Corbin (Max Gail) and with the custody case that Nelle Benson Archer (Chloe Lanier) is bringing against Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
But Dev is sharp, and he could launch his own little investigation into Brando and whatever is lurking in his past. Do you think that Dev’s suspicions will lead to a big Brando reveal?
