General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease we’ve got some exciting news about a familiar face. There have been plenty of rumblings about Dominic Zamprogna’s return as Dante Falconeri, but now that return has been confirmed.
According to Daytime Confidential’s sources on set, Zamprogna is indeed reprising the role of Dante on new GH episodes. Dante was last seen in 2019, so General Hospital fans are certainly eager for this popular character to come home.
It’s been far too long since Dante’s been on canvas! GH viewers can expect Dante’s return to throw Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) for a loop and bring some hurdles in her new romance with Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson).
Of course, we’ll probably see a very different version of Dante when he resurfaces. Dante has been dealing with PTSD and fighting to deprogram after a dangerous WBS mission went awry.
GH fans will recall that Dante checked in a special facility for treatment and pushed Lulu to move on. Dante divorced Lulu because he didn’t want her to put her life on hold; he had no idea if he’d ever get better.
Although Dante will indeed make a comeback, he may not feel worthy of loving Lulu again. There’s also the matter of Dustin, who’s been bonding with Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) and almost serving as a fill-in father.
Dustin would never try to replace Dante, but Dante may still feel like that’s happened upon his return.
It’s safe to say we’ll see a somber, wounded Dante under the circumstances. Dante may no longer be a threat to his loved ones, but his emotional walls should still be up.
There’s no way Dante can just come home like nothing has changed. That’s especially true since Lulu’s fallen for another man – one that Rocco admires and has bonded with.
From Dante’s perspective, it’ll seem like they’ve formed a new family without him. Will Dante look for love elsewhere? Will someone convince Dante he has to fight for Lulu and their life together instead? There’ll be so many possibilities to explore, so Dante’s return is a welcome one!
General Hospital hasn’t released details about the length of Dominic Zamprogna’s stint, but he could easily be back for good. Zamprogna told Soaps in Depth that he was willing to return on contract. This GH star’s ready to dive in and tackle Dante’s issues, so some great stuff should be coming up.
Once Zamprogna’s first airdate back is revealed, we’ll pass along updates. General Hospital spoilers say some fantastic twists are ahead in new GH episodes. Stay tuned and stick with us here at CDL for the hottest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news posts.
