General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) return is most likely in the works. Dante’s name was starting to come up more and more before GH ran out of new episodes. There’s a good chance Dante will continue to be mentioned heavily once new episodes start airing once again.
We also know Dominic Zamprogna’s willing to return on contract according to an interview with Soaps in Depth. Since everything’s lining up for Dante’s comeback, we should speculate on what’ll come before it. Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) has already made some significant changes in her life since her divorce, but more could be brewing.
Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) is crazy about Lulu and has become a fill-in father figure for Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan). Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) likes Dustin as well – and he even saved Charlotte after she jumped in the frigid waters thinking her “secret bodyguard” would save her.
It seems like Dustin and Lulu are building a new family, so how long until they start talking about marriage? Lulu might be hesitant to take a step this huge so soon after her divorce from Dante, but Rocco may have other plans. It’s easy to imagine Rocco hinting around about an engagement.
Rocco might play a trick on Dustin and make him think that Lulu’s brought the idea up to her son. Regardless, Dustin could start to believe he should pop the question. It’s clear that Dustin enjoys hanging out with Lulu and her kids like they’re a family unit. Dustin might think they should just make it official, especially if Rocco makes him think that’s what Lulu wants, too.
Will Dustin propose to Lulu? Would Lulu turn Dustin down or accept a marriage proposal? Even if it took some time for Lulu to come around, an engagement is certainly a possibility. It’d be perfect for Dante to come home and realize the love of his life is engaged to another man!
This could be another great hurdle to a “Lante” reunion. Dante might wrestle with whether he should stop this marriage and let Lulu know he still loves her. It’s all about the journey back together, so let’s hope Dante and Lante have an exciting General Hospital storyline coming up.
