General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a buried secret could finally come to light. GH fans will recall Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) issues with his father, Gregory Chase (James Read). For a long time, Finn let those issues cloud his view of his half-brother, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), too.
Nevertheless, Chase kept pushing and managed to tear down Finn’s walls. Finn and Chase actually have a true bond as brothers now, so that’s certainly nice to see. What about Finn’s relationship with his father? Is there hope for Finn to make amends with Gregory and put the past to rest?
That probably depends on what exactly is in the past! It always felt like General Hospital viewers weren’t given the whole story. Finn supposedly hated the fact that Gregory moved on so fast after Finn’s mother died.
We can understand Finn being angry when it first happened, but that doesn’t seem like something that should fuel conflict for decades.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will push Finn to reconcile with his past on August 14. Since Finn really needs to reconcile with Gregory, Anna may think now’s the time. Finn and Anna are still planning their wedding, so Anna might think Gregory should be there.
Although Finn may have some reservations about that, perhaps Anna will remind him of how much Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) means to him. Finn now knows what the bond between father and child is like.
It’s possible some guilt will hit since Finn’s been pushing Gregory away for so long. Finn would be heartbroken if Violet grew up to hate him and shut him out of her life.
Will Finn reach out to Gregory to offer a wedding invitation? Will Finn try to resolve his problems with Gregory – perhaps his real problems, not just this tame version of events he’s been selling? There might be a far worse secret at the heart of all this.
There’s been speculation that Gregory’s wife might’ve previously been Finn’s girlfriend. Some cheating might’ve gone down before Finn’s girlfriend became his stepmom!
There’s even been speculation that Finn might actually be Chase’s father instead of his half-brother. It could be a case where Gregory passed Chase off as his own.
However, General Hospital has waited so long now that they may not go there. It’s hard to imagine them undoing Finn and Chase’s brother bond after all this time.
GH might offer another buried secret instead or just stick with Finn’s original reason for hating his dad. Either way, it looks like Finn will have to decide if he’s willing to make amends with Gregory before his nuptials.
