General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, August 14, tease that Ava Cassadine’s (Maura West) portrait unveiling party will get underway. This event is sure to bring some surprises, so GH fans will definitely want to tune in. Ava will think it’s going to be a night to remember – and she’ll be right about that!
Of course, Ava doesn’t know Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has a sneaky plan in progress with Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel). Nikolas convinced Ava that Spencer only wanted him if he came with the money.
In reality, Spencer and Nikolas are working together! Nikolas intends to keep working the guilt angle, so Ava will probably be in tears again soon enough.
Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will once again console Ava on Friday, so Nikolas may have high hopes for wiggling out of this marriage – one way or another!
Meanwhile, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will voice her suspicions to Peter August (Wes Ramsey). General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will think Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) hiding something, so perhaps she won’t know the ELQ tiebreaker news yet.
However, Maxie’s one to talk since she’s also hiding something from Peter! Maxie’s pregnant, so she’ll undoubtedly have some moments where she wrestles over how and when to come clean. As for Lucy, she’ll look upset as Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) expresses disappointment and wonders what she’s done.
It’s possible Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) will crash the party to gloat to Nikolas about what he’s accomplished, but ELQ updates should reach most of Port Charles soon regardless.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) already heard about Valentin swooping in and stealing the ELQ throne, but she didn’t seem impressed. Even so, Valentin will hold out hope that he can win Nina over.
In the meantime, Nina will attend this bash to support Franco and perhaps Ava, too. Ava isn’t exactly Nina’s bestie, but they’re on better terms these days. Will Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) show up with Julian Jerome (William deVry) or will she be too busy plotting her next move?
You never know with Nelle, but this would be a good opportunity for more Nina and Nelle clashing if they’re both there.
At GH, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will talk to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about this portrait unveiling. Liz doesn’t like how Ava’s choosing to play up Franco’s old dark side, so she’ll refuse to support an event that celebrates him.
Of course, there’s a chance Terry will change Liz’s mind. Franco will eventually tell someone she made his whole night – and Liz showing up would do that. Then again, Franco might just be doing more Ava bonding. Whatever the case, GH fans can expect Nikolas and Ava’s scheming to blow up in their faces next week!
Until then, Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) will seemingly spar with someone who won’t think this is the time for it. Lulu will wonder what would make it the right time, so maybe she won’t be able to hold her tongue around Ava any longer. Ava thought the tension was lifting, but she’s probably mistaken about that.
General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas will thank Lulu for supporting him, even though her plan to have him fund GH didn’t pan out. The hospital board made a deal with Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), who’s now the chairman.
Back with Terry, she’ll show curiosity when it comes to Cyrus. Does Terry know something that could help with Cyrus’ takedown?
It’ll be interesting to see how Terry might fit into Cyrus’ story, but we should also discuss some pre-wedding drama for Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). General Hospital spoilers say Anna will urge Finn to invite his father, Gregory Chase (James Read), to their nuptials.
